We have been renovating an old 1950's dairy barn since 2013. We fell in love with this location because the barn is set in a beautiful valley in the Appalachian Mountains. You have to drive through the creek to get to the barn. We built this private bungalow on the creekside of the barn with its private entrance. Unwind and relax at this unique and tranquil getaway! Built in the early 1920's, this farmhouse with a wraparound porch and beautiful views is the perfect place to experience the NC mountains. It is located just two miles from the scenic New River where you can rent canoes, kayaks or tubes and a short drive to the nearest entrance to the Blue Ridge Parkway and Grayson Highlands State Park. Nestled in a high mountain meadow just above the New River, this 750 square foot cabin has plenty of amenities and nearly 20 acres for your own private Idaho...there are marked and cleared hiking trails...look for the entrance post to the left "1285."
