We look forward to welcoming you to Ballincard House! Take a step back in time and enjoy the charm of your private apartment located on the second floor of our 19th Century Georgian home. If desired, we are delighted to guide you through the house and share with you almost 200 years of our home's rich history. Roam freely through our 120 acres of gardens, farmland and woodlands, or enjoy a guided tour of our grounds and learn of present day efforts to transform our land into a nature reserve.

Tom Rocky’s Farmyard

This old farmyard has undergone a beautiful restoration. The open space & scenery all around here is stunning, with the Devils Bit mountain as a backdrop. It is a really peaceful spot. There is a large, enclosed yard space and an open shed area with lights & seats, and a roofed kids play area. The old market town of Templemore is a 4 min drive, boasting a beautiful town park with woodland walks & a lake. We are just 12 mins drive from Exits 22 or 23 on the M7 Dublin-Limerick motorway.

Villa Jokubas The Jungle

Located 5 minutes from heritage town Abbeyleix in co. Laois is Villa Jokubas a log cabin village set on a hill overlooking surrounding countryside. All our cabins combine modern finishes and rustic county charms. Be treated with all modern luxuries inside and outside, enjoy expansive yard, covered patio areas with private modern hot tubs, "Kamado" BBQ grills, fully stocked bar with taps of our home brewed IPA beer. We charge €25 for hottub or sauna for one use. One Drink Included.

County Kilkenny home with a view

Very light and airy accommodation. Renovated inside the old stables attached to Eirke House a former glebe/rectory Georgian period home. Recently refurbished and ready to rent. Property is double glazed throughout and fully insulated. Ample parking close to Johnstown and 35 minutes from the medieval city of Kilkenny. Easy access to the M7/8 motorways. Commanding position and wonderful views. Downstairs is an open plan design incorporating the living & dining area, kitchen & bathroom.

Cosy Loft in the Trees

This gorgeous little hut is tucked into the upper corner of a hay barn and has the cosy feel of a treehouse. Set in a peaceful rural spot overlooking open fields, it offers a real sense of escape. Although close to other buildings where we live, it is completely private. Access is via two short flights of sturdy steps leading to a balcony. Kilkenny city is a 20-minute drive away, but a car is essential as there is no public transport. An ideal place to retreat and unwind.

Cozy Stone Cottage Annex

A delightfully converted early 18th century historic dwelling, Gasbrook House Annexe provides cosy, self-contained living nestled in a peaceful village just east of the Slieve Bloom Mountains. This comfortable spot is perfect for a relaxing getaway, romantic break, or well earned rest and is an ideal base for exploring all the midlands has to offer. Surrounded by beautiful nature reserves this cozy space is devoted to peace and relaxation and a haven for nature lovers.

Babes Cottage

Our cottage is nestled in the beautiful Slieve Blooms mountains. This cottage boasts a traditional thatched roof surrounding by fantastic countryside. The cottage features two cozy bedrooms with comfortable beds and soft linens. The fully equipped kitchen is perfect for cooking up hearty meals with fresh, locally-sourced ingredients. Warm up by the fireplace in the inviting living room, where you can curl up with a good book or watch a movie on the flat-screen TV.

Hawes Barn - 200 Year Old Cottage

Set within the Croc An Oir Estate (translated as Crock of Gold) and tucked away down a leafy boreen, this beautifully restored, converted stone barn offers a truly relaxing holiday where hospitality and a traditional Irish experience is offered in abundance. Croc an Oir is a romantic retreat for a couple, and traditional features include a cosy woodburner, a half door, arched windows and a delightful loft style bedroom. There is also a private courtyard and garden.

Lime Kiln Self Catering Cottage

Relax with the whole family at our peaceful country cottage. Lime Kiln Cottage is nestled in the midst of the picturesque Irish countryside, surrounded by lush green fields, rolling hills and stunning views. Conveniently Located just 15 minutes from the heritage town of Birr and just1.5 hours from Dublin and 1 hour from Galway, our cottage is perfect for exploring all of Ireland's hidden heartland has to offer including the stunning River Shannon.

Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway. Located halfway between Portlaoise and Kilkenny, this is the ideal spot to stop and relax in the scenic countryside while touring the many local attractions. The fact that we are in The Midlands, makes it's the perfect location to visit other counties from, as everywhere is within only a few hours drive. If you like space, fresh air, beautiful views and animals, this is the property for you!

Accommodation in Moneygall

We are happy to welcome you to stay at our bright comfortable self catering apartment conveniently located in the midlands. Situated 2 min from Exit 23 off the M7 Motorway on the outskirts of the village of Moneygall where the pub and shop are within walking distance. It provides a wonderful base for exploring the heart of the country while also allowing further journeys to some iconic tourist sites.

Gurteen Cottage, Glenbarrow, Slieve Bloom Mountain

Rural setting at the bottom of the Slieve Blooms in Rosenallis, this cottage provides an ideal escape to the country. This self catering property is 5 mins from nearest town. Beautiful views. Suitable for walking & cycling with Glenbarrow waterfall within walking distance. Portlaoise & Tullamore 20 mins drive. Private entrance with ample parking. Outdoor picnic area and garden. Dogs are welcome.
