Amazing Mountain Views - Peaceful Close to Village

Wake to stunning mountain views from bed at Gentle Presence Cottages! This Cottage offers self-catering for 6 and has been lovingly decorated using a mixture of antiques and modern furnishings to make guests feel right at home. Built in the 1900’s as stables, this Cottage is one of the oldest buildings in Clarens and it's thought that farmers would arrive by ox-wagon before sharing Nagmaal (Holy Communion). There are 2 Cottages on the premises, set apart and with own entrances for privacy.

Loft Room @ Craigrossie

The Loft Room@Craigrossie is a self-catering space for two on Craigrossie Game Farm, 8 km (3kms on good gravel road) outside of Clarens towards Golden Gate. The self-contained space has a loft room with views over the dams & mountains, a queen bed with 100% cotton bedding, bathroom and a kitchenette downstairs. A borehole supplies water. DSTV, WiFi, tea, coffee & kitchen essentials (spices & olive oil) are provided. Bring your own rod for catch & release trout fishing (daily rod fees apply).

Only 6 minutes drive from The Clarens Square and 26 restaurants, yet you can unwind completely in the peacefulness of the wind and sunshine. Lovely walks. Electric blankets and wood burning fires , fully equipped kitchen, 4.5 bathrooms for 6 bedrooms including one with 4 bunk beds. It's huge but homely.

Die Koeistalle

Tucked away on the edge of Rosendal, Die Koeistalle is a lovingly restored guesthouse as old as the town itself. The open-plan living area, once a working cowshed when Rosendal was still a farm, is one of the oldest surviving buildings in town. As Rosendal came to being, the old shed was transformed into a brickworks, supplying bricks to the first houses in Rosendal. Today, its stone walls and timber beams stand beside newer additions, creating a seamless blend of heritage and comfort.

Peach Trees Cottage Clarens

A beautiful cottage surrounded by peach trees and mountains - is situated in a secluded corner of Clarens, Free State, South Africa. Peach Trees offers accommodation for two people in quiet surroundings, amazing views, while being close to the village centre. The cottage has a gas hob, under counter fridge, and ample space for cooking and braaing and a wood burning fireplace. The arrangement is open plan bedroom/bathroom upstairs and closed bathroom downstairs. A minute's walk to shops and restaurants. There is an indoor braai which acts as a fireplace. Smart TV, DSTV and wifi provided. Additional guests or children will attract extra cost.

We have converted old grain silage towers into self catering accommodation. The twin towers consists of 4 storeys that is connected with a spiral staircase. The Twin Towers is beautifully decorated "tongue in the cheek" style. Very quircky indeed.

This unit is downstairs and sleeps 4 in one double room, one single room, and a single bed in the lounge. The bathroom has a shower only. It features a fully equipped kitchen, TV with DStv. It has it's own balcony with braai facilities.
