It is a 5-minutes to the Ōtaki township, where the Te Wananga O Raukawa campus, and the Golf Course are. The township also contains a library, supermarkets and takeaway shops. The beach and Otaki Forks is just a 10-minute drive.

Te Kohanga Eco Lodge

Relax and enjoy sunny Plimmerton, the tranquility of the bush and the comfort of this new eco house. Te Kohanga Eco Lodge was built in 2019 and is only minutes' walk from the beach at Karehana Bay in Plimmerton, a popular beach destination with its own cafe culture. In the winter, the eco lodge is heated using infrared heating panels on the ceiling. The heating is pre-set for your comfort and will provide you with the same kind of warmth that you would expect in a European house in the winter.

Two large living areas are on the entry level along with a generous kitchen equipped with all you need to prepare dinner including a well stocked pantry which you can use. Just 15 minutes walk down the beach to the cafe's and bars plus a mini supermarket.
