Welcome to our home: where we have found peace and relaxation for over 20 years. A German native, Big R fell in love with the open land and rolling hills of Wisconsin, becoming a US citizen in the 80s. He met Curly, a Chicago city girl, who brought a little city to his country life. They enjoy raising buffalo and spending warmer days on their porch enjoying the fresh air and beautiful views (with no mosquitos!). Now they want to share their idyllic and peaceful home with you. Drive down a dead-end road and pull up to a rustic cabin filled with high-tech and cozy amenities. We have something for everyone with a gas fireplace, tv (complete with dish, Cinemax, HBO and a Bluetooth sound system), board games and a full kitchen. Take a drink outside to soak in the hot tub or sit around the campfire. When the day is done, you will fall asleep instantly on the memory foam bed, either in the loft or the bedroom, and wake up to a beautiful sunrise looking out over your little getaway.

This 1940s barn has been lovingly converted into a comfortable living space with modern features and amenities, making it the perfect retreat for a romantic getaway or a peaceful escape from the city. Inside, the bones of the barn are present. From beams and rafters on the main level to the tall, gable barn ceiling. Just imagine all the different ways the barn had been used over time.

The home is nestled in a tranquil, rural cul-de-sac where you can enjoy a bike ride, a walk, a ride in the canoe or simply relax and enjoy the serenity of the area. It is pet friendly with a large back yard that is fenced on three sides with the fourth side being the lake. Wi. Dells is just a half-hour drive, Baraboo offers a variety of circus-related activities, Roche-A-Cri State Park spans over 650 acres and Quincy Bluffs with rock formations and logging roads across 6,500 acres.

Our quaint log cabin overlooks a small pond and is situated on 40 acres of woodland; the only other development on the property is a charming farmhouse down the lane (our home). Cozy up with a good book next to the wood-burning stove. Watch the local wildlife from a rocking chair on the covered porch. Gaze at the stars on a clear night. Visit nearby trout streams, antique stores, and local sights, then come back to this simple, well-appointed respite in the woods.
