Ouray: soggiorni in baite

I stayed at Piñon Ridge Yurt on my way from Santa Fe to Grand Junction last week & fell in love with it. Booked another stay before I even left, and I will be back again in June. Need I say more?! (I left a glowing review with more details last week.)

I cannot say enough great things about this place. I've stayed at numerous places in Colorado over my lifetime, and this one has to be the best. The location was ideal for us, and the place was fantastic. The views, the huge deck with an amazing hot tub, the spacious living area with enough seating for all 6 of us (and then some), the most amazingly stocked kitchen of any rental - the list goes on and on. The entire host team responded quickly and gave us local recommendations, as well. My father-in-law is already talking about bringing the grandkids next year! My dad told me several times a day what a great find I made. We all loved it so much and can't wait to return! Thanks for a great week!

This cabin was the perfect winter getaway! Located just a short drive from Purgatory Ski Resort, it’s nestled in a peaceful, secluded setting surrounded by beautiful trees and plenty of snow. The cozy cabin had everything we needed for a relaxing stay, and the serene atmosphere made it feel like a true escape. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a quiet retreat with easy access to the slopes!

This was the perfect spot! It was 10 min away from purgatory ski resort and 30 min away from Durango for shopping! My family absolutely loved it and would stay again. The only note I have is if you are traveling with a baby do not sleep on the very bottom floor. Due to the house being a cabin it was very creaky, so you can hear everyone above you!

Loved our stay at the cabin. It’s half a mile from purgatory, and made for a great stay during our ski weekend. The heating was a little tricky to figure out, but Kevin was very responsive, amenities were great (hot tub/sauna) and we would definitely book again.

My husband and I spent a weekend at Al’s place with our dog. This place is so stunning! It is very remote, so be sure to bring groceries and any supplies you need with you. It rained and snowed a bit while we were there so the hot tub was a perfect addition! We went running to a few of the nearby lakes, gorgeous and easy to navigate our way around. Dog friendly and very peaceful. We hope to come visit again in the future!

Little cabin, shared clean bathroom, free smores and fireplace/hot tub on the river

We loved our stay again in this cabin! It’s a unique cabin located in one of the most beautiful places. Deep snow. Peaceful and tranquil. Shuttle service made ease of getting to and from the cabin with our luggage. (Booked separately) The cabin owners provide all the necessities to ensure you’re warm, refreshed and comfortable. You’ll love stepping outside into the cold crisp air hearing absolutely nothing! What a beautiful adventure being there. So thankful owners share this experience.

Great location, beautiful grounds would love to stay again

Autumn was an amazing host and very helpful and responsive. The house was very cozy, we didn’t have to bring much as all necessities were provided. There were even drinks and food for us! And firewood! Stunning location and beautiful views. We felt like locals part of the town. Highly recommend this gem!

Jennifers cabin was absolutely amazing. My best friend and I had such a great time there. Definitely need 4 wheel drive and to be able to manuver in the snow, but totally worth it! The community of people were great and we will definitely be back!

This space is so much bigger than expected!! The couch was super nice and comfy and reclined 🤩 loved the patio space too. It was great for having 5 people in there. So walkable to anything but that’s also Lake City since it’s small. It was really great.

This cabin is just off the highway but so peaceful and private! Just a short drive to Durango, Hermosa, or Silverton. There is a general store, gas station, and a cafe within walking distance. The cabin itself is in a great condition and very comfortable; you just know that your hosts put a lot of thoughts and effort into making it feel like home. Thank you John and Courtney for always answering our questions right away, and for making this such a pleasant and memorable visit.

Kevin's cabin has stunning views of Mount Sneffels and is surrounded by groves of Aspen trees. It is the most peaceful location we've ever stayed at. Kevin was a very responsive host and was always willing to provide great local recommendations in Telluride and Ouray. I would absolutely recommend staying at his cabin.

Don was personable and proactive from the very get-go, helping us to feel secure and welcome even months ahead of time. The location itself was beautiful, with a view of the lake from the firepit, firewood provisions overflowing. There were neighbors nearby, but it was still a private and relatively large piece of beautiful personal property. Our kids loved the firepit, the hammock, the canoes (life jackets provided). Inside, we were greeted with a space that felt luxurious, outdoorsy, and "home-y." The kitchen had all high-quality amenities (save a dishwasher). Hot and cold water, all was from a filtered well that was drinkable. The livingroom was surprisingly spacious, with a fireplace that loved sitting by morning an evening. There were hundreds of DVDs, books, and even family boardgames. The entire house shone it's proud history with outdoorsy keepsakes, 100 year old newspapers, paintings. The beds were all incredibly comfortable; It was the best sleep I'd had in months.

Our family of eight absolutely loved this cabin, tucked into gorgeous pine trees, and aspens in full golden glory. The drive up to this private, peaceful hideaway was stunning. The cabin more than matched the descriptions and pictures, and accommodated us perfectly. It was cozy, clean and comfortable. The host was extremely responsive and helpful. We would definitely stay here again!

Jodi and Dennis were amazing hosts. The setting of the cabin couldn’t have been more breathtaking. Both Dennis and Jodi were very helpful with anything we needed. I would strongly recommend their cabin as a quiet getaway with amazing views to anyone!!

We cannot say enough about Wendy’s hospitality. She is so cheerful and sweet. The cabin was so clean and had all we needed. Cannot beat the location right on the river with a beautiful green mountain backdrop.

Great place to take the family.

Beautiful cabin, very private and quiet, isolated from any houses, amazing mountain views from each side of the house. We spent an unforgettable time there, lots of wildlife around, cows walk around the property, we saw bear prints which was exciting. Robert was very communicative about any questions we had and very quickly responded. The road is pretty rough and so make sure you have an SUV, very rocky and some place so narrow only one car can pass, but it is quite an off road adventure and fun.There is wifi out there, so no problem connecting to an internet or tv to watch favorite shows.There is plenty of space for everyone, upstairs balcony has beautiful views. Everything like basic essentials is there like tp, towels, cups, drinking bottle water is there. We went with dogs and had an amazing time up there, and there was nothing better than sitting on the porch and watching the nature and the stars in the evening. We loved the place, highly recommend and will definitely come back

Had a great time - location is peaceful and quiet along the Uncompahgre River. Just 60 minutes away from the Black Canyon of the Gunnison, trails in and picnics in the Cimarron's, San Juans and local sites. Great farmers' markets in Montrose, Ridgway, Delta.

Loved the cabin. Perfect base camp for hiking in the area and visiting Lake City. Staff at the lodge were super friendly and helpful.
