We're a Dutch couple whose lodge is nestled in the mountains of Madarao in Japan. Our lodge provides capacity for a max of 20 guests divided over 5 units. Our cozy, comfortable space makes for a great base to explore the mountains around the region. During winter, we offer private ski/snowboarding lessons, and side and backcountry guiding. We cater to guests during all other seasons too and offer fine dining experiences during your stay. We aim to create the perfect vacation experience for you!

Cozy alpine guesthouse cabins with in-house natural hotspring baths in the forested highlands of Japan's epic 3000m Nagano Alps, offering the closest possible accommodation to the "Roof of Japan" - the Alpine Route and Takase hiking treks. Heidi is an apartment-style room connected to the egg-shaped main lodge, perfect for families or groups. With high ceilings and a spacious living area, it can host up to 8 guests. White wood walls and warm sunlight create a relaxing space. The large loft has two double beds and is accessible by two staircases. The kitchen and large dining table make it ideal for meals or small parties. Two entrances—one from outside and one from the main lodge—make moving around easy. Dog-friendly (optional).

King or Twin Superior

This room is a Japanese Tatami room with western beds. The room is a south east facing room with great sunlight throughout the day. The beds can be set up as 2 x single beds or 1 King size bed. Extra futons can be added with up to 3 people able to stay comfortably. Extra costs per person for larger groups.
