The Noddle is in a fantastic location, a short distance from the ferry and quite central on the island of Hoy & South Walls. There was only 2 of us and dogs, so it would be excellent for families & friends, but the space was great. Well equipped kitchen for cooking and baking, the lunch was bright, but the light in the conservatory was so good, comfortable day bed for relaxing, reading, drawing and soaking up the view. We took wood with us for the fire, but didn't use it as the house was lovely and warm. The garden was lovely, easy access to the burn and beach. walking distance to 'Emily's' tearoom, where we had an excellent dinner, great for special occasions (booking recommended), also walked to Scapa Flow visitor centre for lunch (quite basic). There's a lovely cafe at top end of Hoy, Beneath'ill, recommended if you are going to Rackwick - amazing beach. Been to Hoy a few times, loved our week at The Noddle. Tony was quick to respond to any queries. We'll be back.

The accommodation was perfect for us. A short walk to centre of Kirkwall. The house was very comfortable and spacious and worked very well for three couples. It was one of the best resourced Airbnbs we have have stayed in. We wanted for nothing during our stay. Our host Simon was incredibly helpful ( especially as the couples we arrived at different times ) and his attention to detail was apparent in all aspects of our stay and helped make for a very memorable holiday . Highly recommended.

Excellent cosy home to stay in. Walkable to all amenities and sites in town. Nice and quiet, would highly recommend.

The bungalow hides its beauty within.. what a brilliant spacious arrangement.. perfect base for the Orkneys..

The house was spacious, really well stocked and in a great location. Lizzy communicated really well and made the whole stay very easy We had a fantastic two weeks there. The garden is a good size but for anyone bringing pets it is not secure.

Very well stocked kitchen. Super welcome package with local products. Good shower and comfortable beds. Spectacular pastoral views from the living room windows. Very short driving distances to historical/archeological sites and cliff walks with sea views with sea birds. Short drive to Stromness. Really enjoyed our stay on the Orkneys (far too short) and Norvald House was a great place to stay.

Helen was so welcoming and helpful.The accomodation is outstanding ! Spacious living area with stunning views.Very clean and well equipped. So much to see here we were very lucky with weather too .

Norman and Maria’s home was perfect! It was the cleanest and most organized/tidiest home we have ever stayed in. It was not in the city centre. We had a car and could very conveniently park in front of the house. It was a 3 minute drive to a Tesco grocery store, and we parked in the long stay parking lot beside Tesco to do our touring of Kirkwall. We ( two couples) had a wonderful stay and thoroughly enjoyed Orkney.

Beautiful location for this fantastic flat with views over the harbour and over to Hoy. The additional outdoor space to relax is very welcome and compliments the comfort of the interior. Yuka was a tremendously helpful host but completely unobtrusive meaning the stay felt very private. Outside lights and railings on external stairs provided safety at night. Would highly recommend.

Beautiful flat. Newly remodeled with organized functional kitchen , food pantry. The bedrooms were very comfortable. The flat was layout was exceptional. This location is near shops, restaurants and public transportation. Short walk to St Magnus and bus transit. Took the bus to Skara Brae and Ring on Brodgar visited the Standing Stones of Stenness Jean and Donald went of and beyond in this exceptional flat.

This was a great find, Louise made everything straight forward and responded to any question quickly. The house was ideal beautiful clean with all the equipment anyone could need. Louise even took our washing in when we got stranded overnight on Hoy. The location is good as you can get to any part of of Island easily. If I ever come back to Orkney I know where I will want to stay and it's at Louise place.

The flat is a little gem with lots of little added things to make it pretty: pictures, photos, nice curtains etc. When we arrived the electric fire and classic FM were on. A special touch. Super quiet. The view is amazing and it is only 10 minutes walk to Stromness. Super easy to access by car and then travel into the island. Highly recommend.

A great location close to the ferry terminal which was ideal! Very picturesque location with amazing views over the bay and a couple of shops and restaurant in walking distance. The flat was exactly as expected from the description and was perfect for us 🙂

A beautiful apartment well kitted out and absolutely spotless. Some saucepan lids would have helped but otherwise excellent. The apartment is well placed in the centre of Kirkwall with a long-stay car park nearby. Kerry and Tara are excellent hosts, helpful and very quick to respond to any queries. We would highly recommend this apartment for an Orkney holiday.

We loved our accommodation in Kirkwall, Rebecca and Callum keep it in excellent condition, it was like a "home from home". Rebecca was very welcoming and helpful as we arrived on the 11pm ferry. Callum provided us with tide times for Brough of Birsay and Rebecca kept us up to date with cruise ship arrivals. An excellent Airbnb which we would certainly use again and recommend to anyone. Many thanks for helping to make our stay so memorable.

Fantastic! I’ve stayed in a lot of different types of accommodation over the years but this was the best. Immaculate in every way and very thoughtfully presented. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend or go back to this property. Ten minute walk to the town centre. Friendly host next door but didn’t intrude. You won’t be disappointed!

We had a great stay at Leona's apartment. It was warm, spacious and well equipped. Leona contacted to ensure she would be there to welcome us when we arrived and responded quickly to queries. The location is great for accessing beaches, cliff walks, neolithic sites, Stromness and Kirkwall. Loch view was tops.

Great apartment. Very clean and well appointed. Great location in that you were very close to everything the only downside was that on the Saturday night the noise from the young folk waiting for taxis was horrendous. Between 12-2 am none of us could sleep and that was with the windows shut and earplugs in . But for the noise on the Saturday night I would have scored higher.

We loved staying in Jenny's place. She was a fantastic host, really responsive and going above and beyond to accommodate our needs and help us with everything we might need. The place itself was beautifully decorated, extremely well-equipped and in an excellent location to walk into Kirkwall and explore the rest of Orkney. Would 100% recommend this Air BnB - one of the best stays ever :)

We stayed at the Crow’s Nest for 6 nights and had a fabulous stay. John was prompt to respond to questions prior to our arrival and provided great recommendations for restaurants which were walkable to within only a few minutes. Check in was easy and our studio apartment was the perfect size for the two of us - we instantly February at home. John left a lovely welcome gift of wine, oat cakes, and Orkney fudge -all which we enjoyed during our stay. Kirkwall was the perfect location for us to explore the sites on the Mainland and easy to get to the ferry terminals to reach Westray and Hoy. While there is no parking at the apartment as it’s in the center on town, this was not a problem as there is free long stay parking at the ferry terminal within a 5 minute walk and there is also the option for free parking behind the building between 5 PM and 9 AM. We will plan to stay with John again when we return to Orkney!

Great home base for a stay on Orkney! Very convenient location, especially for an early morning ferry departure. Short walk to a good grocery store and souvenir shops. Lovely decor and lots of amenities. (It was extra helpful to have a washer & dryer!). Rachael was very communicative and kind as well. Thanks so much!
