Lake Taupo Water View Tongariro & Whakapapa Skiing

This treetops lakeview retreat is located on the South Western side of Lake Taupo. Tongariro Crossing, Mt Ruapehu Skifield, Turangi Adventure Tourism, hotpools, great bush walks and trout fishing are all within close proximity. Admire lake views and listen to birdsong from the treetops. Enjoy barista style coffee, grab a book and simply relax and enjoy the views from the expansive deck. At night, why not barbecue with drinks on the deck or in the winter, enjoy the ambience of the warm fire!

Lochwood Ski and Summer Cottage

Lochwood is a light, spacious and warm retreat. Scandi, homely decor. A home-away-from home with a well-equipped kitchen, espresso machine, and tea and coffee facilities. A reserve and playground are across the road with a tennis court and basketball hoop 2 minutes walk away. The Motuoapa Marina and Liquorice cafe are nearby. Excellent access to Lake Taupo, Tongariro crossing, Whakapapa skifield, Tongariro River track and bike tracks, the western bays, thermal pools and Lake Rotopounamu.

"The End of the Road"

The bach is well equipped, but GUESTS MUST SUPPLY OWN LINEN (sheets, pillow slips & towels), and CLEAN it before leaving. It is a fisherman's bach at the end of a quiet street. Lake Taupo is a 10 minute walk and the Tauranga Taupo River nearby. We have plenty of duvets and blankets. NO WIFI. If you are unable to clean the house before you leave or supply your own linen it's better if you find a motel or hotel nearby. We keep the price lower by not having a cleaning fee.

Jailhouse Ridge is a fully self-contained unit with its own private access, ideal for couples. It is surrounded with 7 acres of gardens, ponds & paddocks. Your own private spa awaits you on the deck & is serviced daily. With a Queen bed, fully equipped kitchen, en-suite & log fire, it has everything you need for a fantastic stay. The mezzanine floor, accessed by a steep staircase, has a sofa, 42" TV , Freeview, DVD, WIFI. An extra 32" TV with Chrome-cast is downstairs.

Ideal year-round, it has outdoor areas with BBQ, large windows and a double-sided fireplace. Whakaipo Bay is 5 minutes away for swimming or walking, with plenty of bush tracks nearby. Our architectural award winning home with lake views in Motuoapa is near the southern end of the lake. Built in 2007, 45 minutes from Whakapapa skifield, close to numerous trout fishing rivers and 500m from the Motuoapa marina and boat ramp on Lake Taupo. There are 3 heat pumps and a gas fire for your comfort. Property is 30 minutes from Taupo nearer to Turangi (Airbnb show it on Taupo searches)
