Vineyard Glamping Russell - The Syrah Shack

Hidden inside native bush is our glamping hut named 'the syrah shack', which is nestled behind our syrah vines. The location is 10 minutes out of Russell township, in the Bay of Islands. You will have a vineyard, cellar door and eatery 1km from the hut. Escape your worries and get off the grid in our eco retreat. Enjoy the luxury of a super king bed and the serenity of an outdoor camping style kitchen, hot shower, composting toilet and the best bit is an outdoor bath for two!!

Relax on the deck with your favourite drink , food , book or companion watch the boats , listen to the faint sound of the water lapping on the shore below and enjoy the tranquil sound of the bush and the birds . A short drive brings you to the Ferry to Russell cafes and vineyards or Pahia for shopping , cafes & restaurants. The Bay of Islands has it all . Fun , sun, romance and great activities. We are only 75mins drive north of Auckland, 10 mins off the number one highway. The cottage is built from beautiful untreated hardwoods set in a tranquil private spot, nestled on the edge of a regenerating native forest. The cottage is only a 2min walk down to the beautiful Kaipara Harbour. Our place is part of a 25 year old 300 acre organic permaculture farm, which we were instrumental in setting up as a working farm and village style subdivision.

The perfect family getaway cottage. Quiet, very spacious grounds, pool, friendly animals and everything you need to relax and explore the area. It has a large open plan living/dining area and a fully equipped kitchen. Its double glazing, full insulation, heat pump/aircon and mosquito screens make this self standing cottage the perfect base to explore all the amazing sights the Bay of Islands has to offer.

This gorgeous house is built right in the boughs of the trees reconnecting you with tales like the Lord of the Rings and the Magic Faraway Tree. Take an adventure into this dreamy dwelling that's nestled in its own private stand of native trees. This quiet getaway is not far from the city, and based on our secluded 28 acre property. Breakfast items are also provided for you to prepare at your leisure.
