On our small farm we have chickens, bees, goats, and alpacas that love to be hand-fed. Originally a pole barn workshop, the cabin has been expanded into a peaceful retreat built with local lumber. Explore countless waterfalls, miles of trails, or kayak our beautiful rivers during the day, and relax in the hot tub and shoot pool in the evening.

Rustic Cabin on a Working Farm in Durham

Come get away from it all—while conveniently close to everything—at Laurel Branch Gardens, a 12-acre farm that uses organic growing practices. About 100 yards from the farm house, the cabin is a renovated tobacco barn with a sleeping loft, full kitchen, bathroom (with a shower and composting toilet), and living area. Meet the pigs and chickens. Lay in the hammock. Listen to bird calls. During June and July u-pick blueberries will be available for harvest for $3.50/lbs.

The treehouse offers 2 bedrooms, the master bedroom on the main floor with a rock shower and the loft bedroom with a half bath. The treehouse has a full wrap around porch with jacuzzi tub overlooking a spring branch and fire pit. Enjoy the outdoor shower with a 16” rainfall shower head under the treehouse next to the spring branch. Our gravel road welcomes you to a cozy home in the trees.
