Mill House - Villa on Forgotten World Highway

This lovely villa was built in the early 1900’s by the McCluggage Family, who operated sawmills in the area. Their endeavors included the construction of a tunnel, in 1924, at the rear of the property to provide access to timber on the Whangamomona Saddle where it still remains today. Mill House is a fully furnished, four bedroom/one bathroom home that comfortably sleeps eight. Whether you are travelling through or looking to getaway, Mill House can provide you with tranquility and relaxation.

Spacious dining inside & out. Kitchen/bathroom well equipped & clean. Like to share flowers & produce from the garden when available. We love people & sharing our local knowledge. The Chocolate Box Stay sits on an elevated section with a bushy background. It is a full home away from home suitable for single or family groups, a wonderful relaxing place to stay. There are two bedrooms , one with a queen bed, the second with a queen and a single bed. Also a sofa bed in a sunroom , which has heavy curtains , for privacy from the lounge It is located close to the scenic coastal walkway, Ngamotu beach & playground, Mt Paritutu, and Back Beach for walking and maybe a surf.

The Little House

Lovely little private cabin in Fitzroy. Newly renovated and consists of a bedroom with King size bed. There is a skylight above the bed equipped with a blockout blind. The Bathroom is en-suite with large rain shower. Cosy lounge area with flat screen TV. Tea and coffee making facilities are provided along with microwave, toaster and a fridge. The French doors lead to a decked area overlooking the garden area where you can relax and unwind.

Orchard Cottage

Orchard Cottage is a lovely relaxing place for a family/ couple or someone in Taranaki for work to stay. It has 2 living areas, 2 bedrooms, a bathroom and fully equipped kitchen. There is a queen bed, double bed and double fold out in the the second living area. Plus a small laundry area. The cottage has a nice covered outdoor eating area and BBQ with a lovely rural outlook. It is located on our property with good parking and fully fenced.
