Really enjoyed our SECOND stay at this quaint home. We returned from 5 months ago because of the kindness and hosting skills of Linda. She is a joy and we went shopping at her floral store walking distance from her home. She is thoughtful, considerate in all areas of hospitality. She is a guests favorite for this reason. We will return as a regular. I recommend a stay here to visit New Orleans or to get away from it all and enjoy local Louisiana cuisine. Kindest regards, Burt Huete

I had an absolutely wonderful experience staying. The home was spotless, beautifully decorated, and had all the amenities I needed for a comfortable stay. The location was perfect, close to all the attractions and public transport. Host was incredibly welcoming and responsive, making sure I had everything I needed. I especially loved the cozy living room and the comfortable bed. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a home away from home. Five stars all the way!

Our 5 week stay at Rockheart Retreat was wonderful! There was a slight issue with the lock when we arrived but James responded immediately and was able to provide an alternate code. The house was clean and the kitchen was huge and well stocked. The deck was great for relaxing and hanging out when our kids came to visit for a week. Our dogs enjoyed the yard and long walks around the neighborhood. We fished in the channel and caught a redfish and some blue crabs. We were close enough to roadtrip to New Orleans and I think we visited every beach between Waveland and Gulfport. Highly recommended and would definitely stay again.

Really nice place in a friendly and quiet neighborhood, still just a short drive to the French Quarter. Lola's place is very homey and welcoming just like the pictures. The parking spot is a great plus. Thank you Lola for opening your home to us.

Anne Is An Amazing Host! Definitely Recommend This Camp! We Stayed A Week Long With Our Dogs & It Was PERFECT! So Much To Do, It Was Comfortable, Peaceful, Spacious, Clean, & Overall Outstanding! Anne Is Great With Communication & Keeping Up With This Place. We Never Ran Out Of Things To Do & Explore. Our Family Popped In A Couple Of Times & They All Asked About The Place & Want To Stay In The Future. Fishing Was A Blast But Not Too Many Bites, Definitely Try Crabbing Too! There Are A Bunch!! We Really Enjoyed Our First Air BNB Stay & Will Definitely Come Back Here From Now On. Close To Everything Out There. Short Drive To New Orleans, Slidell, & Picayune. Walmart Is Only 5 Minutes Away. It Is Just The Perfect Spot! PS, My Son Said Thank You For The Complimentary Ice Cream He Found While Being Nosy. 😂 Thank You So Much Anne! We Really Had The Best Vacation Here! Couldn’t Recommend It Enough To All Of Our Family & Friends.

Came to New Orleans for a wedding and was so happy to find George’s place. Both my kids have pet allergies so I was so happy to hear that his place was not only pet free but he had very high quality air filters! We slept great and enjoyed neighborhood. Can’t wait to come back!

We had the best stay at 1212 Alvar Street! From the beginning, Gabby was so accommodating, helpful, and friendly. We had an issue w/ our reservation and she fixed it in a jiffy. The house was exactly as described, the inside/decor was fun and a little quirky so we loved it. We even added to one of her fun collections as a “thank you”. The location was great, everything was minutes away on the bikes! That was our favorite part, the bicycles. We did day and night biking, they have lights, locks, and helmets, everything you need for a good and safe bike ride. We’re still sore from all the riding! Also, it was nice to know the host’s brother lives next door and is there to help with any issues in the house, not that we needed anything, our stay went off w/o a hitch. Another favorite part of ours was the amazing smell of the jasmine vines growing on the property, they also have awesome succulents everywhere. I would definitely recommend this place for an awesome stay! And an awesome host!

This was probably the best airbnb I have ever stayed in. It was huge, clean, and comfortable. The private parking was a giant plus, and the drive to the French Quarter was really short even with traffic. Our host was extremely responsive and very friendly, especially when we requested another night because we loved the place so much. I hope to be able to rent this place again when we return to NOLA!

Darleen was very friendly and hospitable. We were unpleased with a separate airbnb situation across town and needed a new spot quickly. Darleen had us in there in no time and we were very pleased with the experience. Would definitely recommend!

This place has it all! Excellent location - beautiful and safe. It’s a little peaceful oasis behind the gate. The apartment is so comfortable! The beds are great, there are blackout curtains, soft linens, plenty of towels and a couch you can just sink into after a full day exploring Nola. The kitchen is well stocked with all you need and local coffee just waiting to be enjoyed in the spacious back yard. The apartment is well appointed with local treasures. Plenty of space to hang up clothes and towels as well as dresser space. Luxury shampoo, conditioner and body wash. It’s very nice to be at an Airbnb that also has hotel-like amenities. Walkable to eating, drinking and shopping, and it’s also an oasis to relax. Great space for families, couples or girls trip! We will be back!

Where do I begin lol I ABSOLUTELY LOVEDDDDDD IT our stay was everything! and the backyard is amazing I love the flowers and the whole scenery so amazing 20/10 lol we’d definitely be back.

Its a wonderful, old, quirky space that has been updated and is totally functional and roomy. The location is perfect for access to the various neighborhoods in NOLA. Very close to good restaurants, short walk to the Quarter etc. The C unit is up three flights of stairs (which I missed in the pictures and description) which wasn't really a problem except we had one person in a "boot". Otherwise it was clean and safe, functional and historic. So all in all very nice.

Fatima's Son and Husband was extremely helpful and friendly when we first arrived. I was at the wrong cabin and Fatima responded immediately. And her family guided us. Fatima had the sweetest spirit ever. Very welcoming and The cabin is Perfect for 2 people but we made 3 work. Their website was extremely helpful with finding places to explore. The place was very peaceful only 22 mins from the French Quarters in New Orleans. They had the best rates during Mardi Gras. I loved the screened in Porch which made it perfect for a late night or early morning Meditation, read, or journal writing. I would definitely use this place again. Very Cozy.

This is a great stay away from crowed after going to Mardi Grass. The atmosphere was very pleasing. It's like 31 minutes from Bourbon street

We spent a month at Catie's cabin on the river and couldn't have been more pleased. The cabin is rustic and comfortable, not unlike something you would have been happy to find a generation ago, but absolutely modern with great wifi and cable TV. Lots of dishes, pots and pans, everything (and I mean everything) you might want. Very quiet on a dead-end road meaning there was no vehicle traffic. Just the occasional boat drifting by. Catie responded immediately if we had a question. This property is a real find and a bargain. We were delighted to find it.

The Millers had an amazing experience at Sunhillow Farm Getaway. The host, cabin and beautiful property exceeded our expectations. We was impressed by all the amenities, quality, provisions and attention to details that made our stay welcoming, comfortable, relaxing and so peaceful and quiet …perfect home away from home getaway.
