This cottage was perfect for us - 2 couples with small children. Louise gave us loads of information before we arrived, and her husband greeted us shortly after we arrived. It was such an easy stay with small children, we had everything we needed, and the stair gate made life so easy! There were lots of lovely touches like providing snacks, coffee and jams. And Louise even provided some glasses for the solar eclipse!! The surroundings are really peaceful and the kids loved the 2 Shetland ponies in the field opposite. There are lots of options for walks from the cottage, or a short drive away. The Black Lion pub did a great roast dinner. I found there was so much thought put into the stay and Louise was very accommodating. Would definitely recommend!

Pamela's is an excellent AirBnB location spotlessly clean, extremely well equipped and a very pleasant location within a short walk of Bakewell's amenities. The property is quite old but beautifully renovated and a pleasure to visit.

Our short stay at Fox Cottage was amazing. The property is beautiful, spotless and comfortable. The views are spectacular! Andrew was a great host, very responsive and helpful and we really appreciated the very kind welcome hamper! Loads to do and see and there were even toys for our young son to play with! We loved it so much we’ve booked for next year!

Fantastic little place with modular features that utilised the space really well. Especially enjoyed the rooftop terrace. All in all, a really comfortable stay. Soozey/Jen communicated excellently throughout which made the experience all the better. Would highly recommend.

A beautiful cottage, with a charming layout, making the most of the fantastic views. We could have sat watching the views for hours and were only sorry we didn't have more time to enjoy the terrace! It was well appointed and felt very homely. We loved how convenient it was for walking into Matlock Bath (only 5 minutes) with its fish and chip shops, ice cream parlours, amusements and lovely riverside walk and 2 play parks. What a great location for us as a family and it was very handy to be able to leave the car at the house and walk to the cable cars for the Heights of Abraham. We appreciated the milk and tin of chocolate biscuits. One tip for anyone who visits is to park at the top of the house, and not take the car around to the front of the house to save having to reverse up the steep hill as the road at the bottom has now been cordoned off. Great little cottage for a weekend in Bakewell. The cottage was perfect for a family of four… and the breakfast at the original Bakewell pudding shop was a great touch.

What a lovely little cottage, very clean and tidy and well stocked with everything you need in a home away from home. Little touches like the forget me not box and honesty box with holiday essentials should you forget anything (which we did!) was welcomed. Check in and out couldn’t have been easier and the shortbread biacuits and bottle of fizz was a nice touch Beautiful walks literally on the doorstep and easy access to the Tissington trail make this cottage a great place to stay in the Peaks.

A great short stay at this lovely cottage. Fantastic views and a cosy feel. Location was very convenient in the village very near to the fabulous pub and lovely walks. The cottage was very well equipped with everything needed.

We enjoyed a wonderful 3 night stay and were blessed with the most beautiful weather. The location of the cottage was ideal and the lounge and garden enjoy spectacular views over the valley and hills. The accommodation makes maximum use of the space and is functional and extremely comfortable. There was plenty of room for our party of 4 adults and the convenience of shops, pubs and cafes only minutes walk away made the location ideal. Parking outside the cottage was a little tricky and we were happy to use the car park at the top of the village, only a few minutes walk away. The suggested rates are minimal and can be paid online or via an honesty box.
