Nantucket: soggiorni in cottage

This was the absolute perfect find for our family to spend just shy of a week for our kids spring break from elementary school. being from Connecticut we really enjoy spending time at the Cape and have been a number of times mostly utilizing Airbnb. usually we travel in a group of 8 to 10 but only had five of us this time. This place was the perfect size and layout for our needs and the hot tub was a special plus that came in handy after spending time on the local beaches taking walks and playing with kids. The beds were comfy and the technology (TV, WiFi, and climate control) we're nicely up to date and worked great. The hot tub & fire pit were easy to operate and added a luxury feel! The hosts were very responsive and super polite and helpful. My son left something behind and they were very responsive, diligent in finding it, and went out of their way to make sure we got it back. We will definitely keep this place and hosts as a favorite for future visits to Sandwich!!

We had a wonderful weekend away. The location is amazing with a short walk to the beach. The house was exactly as described and we were so impressed with the quick communication!

Mazie was great host and her place was perfect for our family. Walkable to beach. The kids could ride their bikes on the dead end road and they had a little candy and Icecream store they liked to bike to not far. The inside was great. We had four kids and our two youngest loved the little loft area as their room. The backyard was great for relaxing grilling and the outdoor shower was perfect to have for back and forth trips to the beach all day. Mazie was a great host and we are grateful for our stay at her beautiful home.

We had a great time here - the house has everything you could need and is very cozy. Comfortable beds and a large couch! The hot tub was great, too. We would stay here again when in the area.

Awesome Air bnb. Cozy, great location and amazing hot tub!

First, Art was great to work with: near immediate helpful responses. The home is as described but still bigger than we imagined. Second was the location: right on Sands pond with a dock and boats we could use. It's on the end of a cul de sac with direct access to hiking trails and cranberry bogs that the dog (and us) really appreciated! Easy access to all Cape attractions - you can't go wrong with picking this home for your Cape experience!

We had a wonderful stay at the Front Cottage on Monomoscoy Island. a very cozy and comfortable space for our family of four + pup. We spent a 3-day weekend for my birthday. Slight mixup when we arrived but Ann was very responsive and everything was cleared up quickly. We really appreciated that. Takeout from nearby Moto Pizza the first night was spectacular. Day 2 was breakfast at Moonakis Cafe and a stop at Coffee Obsession in Falmouth, definitely recommend both of those. We took in the winter beach scenery at Mashpee town beach in the afternoon and then snacks, games, and beer flights at Bad Martha's - such a fun spot! Movie on the cozy couch and ice cream sundaes later for my birthday. Day 3 was sleet / rain so we stayed in with coloring books, board games and puzzles, watched the rain on the water and the ducks playing. It cleared up enough in the evening for the grownups to enjoy the hot tub. Checkout was easy and late enough for us to have a relaxing final morning!

Beautiful, peaceful and one of the very best place to stay for tranquility. Host was very responsive and notified us that we could check in early without having to request. Such a wonderful message to receive to start a nice weekend away. Making us so comfortable to stay at this amazing cottage. If anyone reading this is looking for a relaxing, cozy cottage with a great host, then this is your place!

We stayed at this beautiful location for just 2 nights with our Sammy who made herself right at home. House is just like the photos inside, very at home feel and comfortable. The beach was the star of the show and literally a 1 minute walk away. Restaurants were close by and had excellent food especially Seafood Sam's and Fisherman's view. Susan was very responsive and could be easily reached when we had questions. We are definitely looking forward to coming back again!!

what a lovely retreat! I was there with my 5 year old son and we both gasped when we walked in--the cottage was perfectly laid out and so comfortable. Everything was as expected and there were super thoughtful touches throughout. The space was very relaxing--we'd love to go back sometime!

We would definitely recommend Deb’s and Sharon’s cottage as a place to stay. The location is great, as it is within walking distance to shopping, restaurants, and the water, but is tucked away in a quiet little neighborhood so it still also offers plenty of privacy. They were wonderful and responsive hosts and checked on us throughout our stay, though we didn’t end up needing a thing. They were gracious enough to allow our dog Bella join for the weekend too, which we appreciated very much as she goes everywhere with us. Overall, we had a lovely stay and would definitely look to book again if we make our way back to the beautiful island!

Great location and the house was exactly as described. Perfect get-a-way. Particularly enjoyed the short walk to the beach for sunrise and sunset strolls!

I stayed at the Chatham Cottage for three nights with my sister and niece. It was a girls’ weekend in late March. The neighbors and street traffic were quiet. We stayed in most of the time watching movies. There are a few restaurants close by and we went out a couple of times to eat. The beach is close and walkable from the cottage. All the rooms were very clean. The beds were very comfortable and there was plenty of linens and towels. The kitchen had essentials, coffee, olive oil, salt, etc. We brought all our food and snacks from home, even though there is a Stop and Shop nearby. Anything you may have forgotten to bring will probably be in the cottage. Meaghan offered early check in and late checkout since the cleaners finished early and were returning after 11:00 on the check out day. We all enjoyed our stay.

Cannot say enough good things about the stay and the hosts. The place was beautiful and clean, conveniently located and we loved the short walk to the beach. We spent each day exploring a different city, and we felt perfectly located to be in a comfortable, peaceful area away from everything but not too far from anywhere we wanted to go. Pups loved the yard, lots of room for them to run and play. The hosts were friendly and helpful. Couldn’t have picked a better place for the first vacation with our baby.

Sue's place was perfect for our mother-daughter weekend. Sue provided a comprehensive list of restaurants in the area, but we prepared all of our meals in the kitchen, which was well-appointed, very much appreciated. We enjoyed daily walks to the beach. Though it was off-season and overcast, inside it was perfectly cozy. The fireplace was great to return to. Sue was quick to return texts, and very welcoming. The snack basket was well received! Would highly recommend.

Beautiful cottage nestled in a quaint private community. So close to the water and a small convenience store nearby, but already stocked with pretty much everything we needed. Had to look around for toilet paper and would have loved a hair dryer but overall had a great stay. Would recommend to anyone! :) Note: unless you’re strictly thinking local beaches in the area then I would definitely recommend a car.

It’s even better than the pictures, trust me. Prime location between beaches, restaurants, activities (like aquarium), and the ferry to Martha’s Vineyard. It’s exactly where you want to stay when visiting Cape Cod. We stayed for several nights with our kids and immediately fell in love. Marcy is the perfect host. You can’t go wrong with this place — book with confidence.

My wife and I were delighted to stay at this cozy cottage on Cape Cod. Everything from the charming decor, meticulous landscaping, and irresistible porch swing made us feel like we were staying somewhere special: a place both familiar yet new. We look forward to returning and enjoying this little gem on the Cape again soon!

We had a perfect week at Bo’s place. The weather was beautiful and the walk to the beach was nice. We loved how close to lots of activities we wanted to do the cottage was. The cottage itself was cute and just the right size for my sister and I. The outdoor shower was awesome!! I would definitely book this place again. Sharon and Lynne

Leah responded to my booking request within minutes. This was so important because our previous reservations fell through. This was a last-minute booking and I’m so thankful that I was able to find such a wonderful location. Everything that was in the listing was accurate and we felt right at home after an easy check-in process. I cannot thank Leah and Brandon enough for their willingness to let us rent their beautiful cottage last minute. The home is fully stocked with anything that we may have needed. It was a little chilly, but the space heaters were enough to get us through the chilly nights. My kids and I were able to watch Halloween movies on the TV while gazing at the full moon from the skylight above in the living room. I’m looking forward to going back to Massachusetts in the future. There are so many different things that this town and surrounding towns offer.

We had a wonderful few days at Betty’s cozy cottage in Brewster. Centrally located near a supermarket, restaurants, and the Cape Cod Rail Trail. It was easily accessible from the main highway and convenient for day trips around the Cape. The cozy cottage is set in a small neighborhood of other cozy houses. Upon arrival Bruce had left a note with a few issues for us to beware of during our stay. The front storm door had to be manually closed due to a broken piston. Also, the mini split wasn’t working but luckily there was electric baseboard heat available. The cottage is right off the main road and could hear some road noise of vehicles passing during the night. Overall, the space was clean and just enough for two people. We enjoyed having a small kitchen with a stove, oven, fridge, coffee maker, and sink to prepare meals. We also used the grill during our stay. We would definitely consider staying here again.

To say that Wharf Cottage is idyllic is an understatement. This cottage is a dream. Wharf cottage is not your average Airbnb. This is a thoughtfully curated & designed home that provides a bespoke experience, unlike anything else. We have stayed at more than 40 different Airbnb’s & other rental properties and Carol’s place is the only one that actually brought tears to my eyes. We came to Cape Cod from California for a week for the hydrangea festival. We chose Wharf cottage because it was surrounded by hydrangeas & I loved the decor. When we pulled up to the home, the hydrangeas were in full bloom, & it was breathtaking. The whole property is lovely. The inside of the home is absolutely charming and very well done. The neighborhood was very quiet & peaceful. Carol had lots of great recommendations for places to eat & we ate at most of what she recommended. Despite her well appointed kitchen we didn’t cook one meal. Take route 6A whenever you can. Trust me. Until next time!
