Nairobi: soggiorni in minicase

Dik Dik Cottage has been on my wishlist for a bit and it lived up to my expectations. Such a beautifully done space. I loved the wood finishes. Moses shared that they make the furniture and wood fixtures themselves. Lovely and really friendly hosts. Their place is clearly a labor of love. When we arrived, Trudy gave us a recommendation of a heated pool nearby where we spent some time on Saturday. There’s not much to do on the property itself but that’s exactly what we were looking for.

Loved the many trees in the compound, and the privacy of the cottage. Peter was an excellent host, responding promptly to all my requests and concerns. Onsite manager, Helima, did a great job welcoming me, keeping the cottage clean and well-stocked, and being available for any problems. Be prepared for the neighbourhood noise, day and night - traffic, low-flying planes, jua kali workshops, amplified church services on Sundays.

I really love this place. It is my first home in Kenya. It has a beautiful yard and cozy rooms. Jay and the neighbors are very friendly. The children are super cute. They come to play and dance with me every evening. I will recommend this place to everyone!

The couple on the ground was very kind and accessible when we needed them. The space is extremely beautiful, secure and comfortable. I just wanted to say that you've done well on your part. My friends and I had an amazing stay at Olsotowa House! The property is incredible with plenty of room for 10 guests, a great pool to relax in, fun activities to do (ping pong, foosball, archery, spa day, movie nights), and a wonderful view of the sunset from Ngong Hills. The hosts were very helpful and responsive, the property staff (Dorris, Julius, etc.) were great, and the chef (Martin) prepared delicious meals and snacks for all dietary preferences. I would definitely recommend staying here and look forward to going back!

Excellent off-grid location in wonderful surroundings meant to elicit the Muskoka, Canada feel. We had a great stay. A bit of a glitch with check in communications that was sorted out efficiently by Peter who was on-site. Of note are no wifi and no TV, which were not an issue for us. Best to have good food supply on arrival. Best to arrive early so as to settle and enjoy the surroundings. We stayed 1 night, which was too short. A few days would have been splendid.

The reviews on this place are stellar and it delivered and surpassed! The Kapiti dome is by far the most unique, cleanest, and well stocked airbnb we’ve stayed at in Nairobi. The interior is tastefully and beautifully decorated. It offers more than your average essentials from games, extra towels, heated blankets, scented candles, more than enough bathroom and kitchen essentials. The level of thoughtfulness put in this place makes it very inviting and charming. It has a jacuzzi that you can soak in as you enjoy the Machakos sunset and a indoor tub you can read your book in. The fireplace makes for a nice chill out spot in the evening. The property is perfect for a couples getaway or a solo traveller who want to step into a haven of peace and serenity. The host is the kindest soul too and very responsive and helpful. Will definitely be back.

I had an amazing stay at Catherine and Jay’s place! The apartment was *exactly as described* – everything was perfect, and the photos didn’t do it justice. They were incredibly responsive and always answered my messages super fast. They were also very *helpful*, going out of their way to assist me with a few things during my stay, which made a big difference. The area felt very *local*, which was a great way to experience the true vibe of the place. I really enjoyed it and would definitely recommend staying here if you're looking for a comfortable, welcoming spot with great hosts!

We loved our time at Glass house. Absolutely beautiful, so creative but also so well though through and functional! The house has all you need, even books, and the kitchen cupboards are usefully stocked with pots, pans, and other cooking tools. The location is amazing. A true getaway and not far aware from town at all. I highly recommend.

The Stay at Bella's was fantastic! I was rather sad to leave the forest view. I was lucky to see the Sykes monkey and quite rarely a snake (which slithered away harmlessly as it is also their habitat). Bella's place is a breath of fresh air and she is a lovely and attentive host while giving you privacy, I will miss her gentle presence.

Perfect peaceful place, felt right at home! I was on a hectic work trip and really enjoyed being in the garden after a long day and enjoy the silence. The hosts were very fast in responding and extremely friendly. Will certainly return again.

Siennas place is lovely, quiet, and private. Perfect cottage in Karen. All the staff around the place were great as well. A very nice spot to spend a week in.

As a Kenyan who now lives abroad, I look forward to unwinding when I get home. Agnes's charming studio, nestled in her home compound, offers tranquility. I relished the greenery and the fruits generously provided by Agnes. If you adore dogs, you'll adore Teana, the family dog, who greets you with morning hugs—an endearing aspect of my stay. Joan, who often cares for your space, is consistently helpful, courteous, and lovely. Her son Anthony was also a great support, ensuring everything was handled promptly. Whenever you request something, the family promptly responds, making your stay comfortable. Overall, it's a delightful place for digital nomads who appreciate nature and serenity. Getting an Uber to different parts of Nairobi is easy, so there's no hassle. I highly recommend the space to anyone; I had a lovely time.

Beautiful stay. Very well equipped for travelling with small children. Friendly and helpful. Would stay against without hesitation. A peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle of Nairobi. Our family didn’t want to leave, we’ll be back soon!
