OH MY GOODNESS! I don’t know if my husband and I have ever been so at peace being here. We stayed here for a week so we got to really get a feel for the place! First, Ben was so incredibly kind, helpful, and responsive! Upon arrival we got some goodies and an entire binder to look at not only for the place but if you want of local recommendations for hikes, foods, castles, you name it! We also loved the convience store and cafe nearby too! The home itself had every amenity for day to day living, is clean, stylish, and large. However, that view just takes the cake. We loved starting and ending our day with that view and we’re even able to see some other islands on clear days! I will say though, be PREPARED for the roads. It is probably worse than you imagine. Small/one lane and filled with pot holes. So just be mindful of that if when deciding who is driving and what you’re driving! 10000% worth it though. Skye is just absolutely life changing and this place was part of the magic

We hebben erg genoten van de tijd die we in dit huis verbleven. Het uitzicht is prachtig, de locatie centraal in Portree en perfect voor uitstapjes op Skye. Het huis is schoon en van alle gemakken voorzien. Heel luxe dat beide slaapkamers (met heerlijke hoofdkussens) een badkamer hebben. Het huis is gelegen aan het eind van een doodlopend straatje, direct aan kiezelstrand/zee (afhankelijk van het getijde). Er is een voortuin met privéparkeerplaats. Het enige waar we wat aan moesten wennen zijn de toeristen die foto's van de baai komen maken vanuit de voortuin/parkeerplaats, maar dat brengt ook wel een leuke reuring en een gevoel van trots dat je mag verblijven op zo'n bijzondere plek.

Die Unterkunft übertraf unsere Erwartungen. Sehr schöne ruhige Lage mit Blick aufs Meer von den Fenster aus. Alles was man braucht um mal richtig runterzukommen. Man hat alles was man braucht und wir haben uns sehr über die zwei Skye Ale gefreut. Wendy war sehr hilfsbereit.

We had the most wonderful stay at the house. When we arrived, we immediately felt welcomed and home. Everything was perfect and we could also spend time in the garden. It's a very spacious house and we could relax perfectly. it was nice to light the fire in the fireplace and relax with some records in the evening. Thanks a lot Daniel. Highly recommend a stay.

This house is, by far, the most thoughtfully prepared place we've stayed in. It's beautifully appointed, clean and comfortable, inviting, and well equipped. John provides good instructions for everything from how to find it, to how to use the cottage's features easily and well. The separate recycling bins provided are very helpful. John is friendly and responsive, as well as being a wealth of information and great tips. Our only regret was that we had such a short stay. Even with that, though, we were able to enjoy a walk to the beach and the castle, a peaceful cup of coffee on the deck, and a lovely meal prepared in the well-designed kitchen. This was our stay at the end of a busy, hectic couple of days, and it was just the place to exhale and relax before we headed home. We would come back to the Isle of Skye just to stay here again.

Felt like home. We stayed at Braes Retreat for four weeks and we loved every minute. The location is great for travelling around Skye as it’s pretty central but it still has that quiet isolation that most people come to Skye looking for. The house has everything you need, it’s very clean and comfy and Iain and Ingrid are great hosts to help you out with any issues. As all the other reviews say, the garden is spectacular, the views are beautiful and it’s generally a really lovely place to stay.

Loved our stay at Julie's place. I was relieved to know parking was free and right in front of the house. We walked to town everyday (4 minutes) with such ease and enjoyed restaurants and shops. The view on the backside of the house towards the mountains was peaceful and beautiful . Appliances were very easy to use and there was a nice selection of very tasty coffees. Grocery store was a 2 minute walk and very nicely stocked. We enjoyed every single aspect of this place and would stay there again in a heartbeat.

Absolutely delighted with the cottage it was extremely clean. Very cozy and warm. We knew we would arrive in the dark but Mathew had the lights on and it was very welcoming. Views of the harbour and was great watching the smaller fishing boats . Skye was beautiful when we could see it as a wee bit misty The sunset in the street was beautiful. The pups even were catered for as treats left for them which was thoughtful. The driveway to park was narrow but was made when vehicles were not so big , got my VW caddy in but was tight . However I would have been happy leaving my van on the quiet street . Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and enclosed small garden was handy first thing in the morning and last thing at night Beautiful beeches, end of season but we had a chilled great weekend and no negatives about cottage . Thank you Mathew for allowing dogs and being dog friendly but being immaculate too .

Had a great stay here for two nights. Amenities were great and we especially loved the kitchenette and hot tub. Bed was comfortable. Very easy to get to the ferry to Skye which is what brought us to the area.

My friend and I had a great weekend staying at Mary’s, great location to explore Portree and the rest of Skye. Clean and well equipped accommodation.

The views from our living room during our stay in Dunvegan were absolutely amazing. Jennifer was always available to help us if we had any questions. i fully recommend this location to anyone who is thinking of staying in Dunvegan.

The apartment was great and had everything we need. Not only, it had incredible views and was well located in relation to the town, with restaurants, shops and cafes nearby. It was a great place to base ourselves as we explored the rest of Isle of Skye. Karen was a great host and provided all the necessary information, adding to the wonderful stay.

Catherine was a lovely host, receiving my girlfriend and I with a warm welcome. She was very helpful and responsive to any questions, concerns or requests we would have. Her space was beautifully decorated, and neatly organized, providing us with many amenities to make our trip that much more enjoyable.

Great to stay in this cosy, immaculate self contained apartment. Perfectly furnished with everything we needed - even down to the Tupperware which was helpful for our picnics! Lovely to have cooking oil and tea bags too! Fantastic location - with Arisaig on the doorstep and Mallaig and nearby beaches a short drive away. We were able to get the ferry to Eigg and Skye for some great days out and enjoy a number of local walks including down to the stunning Rhu Beach, which Steve recommended.

This was one of the nicest Airbnb‘s that we have stayed in thus far. Mairi and Harry were very welcoming hosts, the accommodation was extremely clean and very well equipped with everything you would need for a self catering holiday. One thing we always appreciate is a comfortable sleep and the bed was very large and had a very comfortable mattress. The view out the front was stunning, it’s in a very peaceful pastoral location with green rolling hills, beautiful sunsets and yet only minutes into Portree. We found it to be a very good base for exploring the island. Highly recommended and thank you Mairi and Harry for a lovely stay.

We stayed 4 nights during HebCelt. The apartment is in a perfect location with everything in walking distance. There is ample parking available and everything that you could possibly wish for in the apartment. Everything was extremely clear, WiFi was fast. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay again!

The flat was exactly what we needed for an extra unexpected week in Stornoway. Amy was really helpful throughout. We would thoroughly recommend this accommodation.

I had an absolutely amazing stay! The place was spotless, cozy, and exactly as described—if not better. We felt welcome and comfortable throughout our time there. One of the highlights for me was getting to spend time with their adorable dogs😍🫠 They were so friendly and sweet—If you’re an animal lover, you might get chance to see them :) that’s just the cherry on top! I can’t recommend this place enough and would happily stay here again. Thank you for such a wonderful experience!

Lita and Carol's place on Loch Bay is a hidden gem! We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Taigh Glas studio and would recommend to anyone looking to spend a few days on Isle of Skye. The location was great as we were easily able to explore a bulk of the island from the Waternish area. The studio itelself was sparkling clean, cozy, and had an amazing view of Loch Bay and surrounding landscapes! We really appreciated the nice touches Lita and Carol provided as well. Check-in was incredibly smooth, directions were clear, and we were even provided with a stocked fridge upon our arrival which was such a pleasant surprise after a long drive! Lita and Carol are so friendly and gave us great local recommendations. We would 100% stay here again and certainly recommend to others!

We hebben een fantastisch verblijf gehad bij Mary Flora! Ze is een ontzettend gastvrije host die je je meteen thuis laat voelen. De ruimte was volledig ingericht, super schoon en echt van alle gemakken voorzien – tot in de kleinste details is overal aan gedacht. Het is ook een perfecte uitvalsbasis om het prachtige eiland Skye te verkennen. We zouden hier zonder twijfel opnieuw verblijven!

Amazing home in a beautiful part of the world. Bathroom was immaculate and the bed was super comfy. The kitchen had everything you could think of and Sheila and Mal were great hosts. Would love to stay again.

We had a fantastic week staying in Downey Birch cottage. It is an extremely cosy, comfortable, peaceful, and well equipped property; with stunning views of Arisaig and The Small Isles from almost every window! Its location is perfect being just a few minutes walk away from the Arisaig Hotel, marina, local shops, museum and other delicious eateries. As well as a short cycle or drive to the wonderful beaches, mountains and islands in this spectacular part of Scotland. Michael and Fiona are super hosts. Friendly, helpful, and very knowledgeable about the local area and beyond. We would most definitely recommend this cottage to friends and family; and we would love to stay again soon.

Fantastic stay! Idyllic views of the ocean, very quiet and peaceful. I think this is the most beautiful AirBnb I have ever stayed in. Aside from the amazing setting, the house itself is very spacious and comfortable.
