The Lookout - cottage in the heart of Mumbles

Just a stone’s throw away from the seafront, this little cottage has everything you need for a perfect stay in the picturesque village of Mumbles. Named after the gorgeous sea views from the top terrace. The perfect place to unwind and enjoy a glass of wine after a busy day exploring Gower Peninsula. This quiet but steep street is only a few minutes walk to the bars, restaurants and shops. It’s just over a mile to the stunning beaches of Langland and Rotherslade. This really is the perfect spot!

Self contained space in colourful artist’s house

Our Airbnb is a colourful, cosy and creative completely private space attached to our mid century bungalow. It has its own entrance, mini kitchen, double bedroom and en-suite shower room. We are in a quiet yet convenient and walkable location for the beaches, coast path, Castle, shops, restaurants & bars in the village of Mumbles. There is free private parking directly outside the house and we are within a 10 min walk of Mumbles village in one direction and the beaches in the other direction.

This is a 1 bedroom cabin and is not suitable for children or pets. Vehicular access to this listing is via a farm track with 3/4 of a mile of VERY BUMPY potholes. The first thing visitors notice is “the view”. The Bunkhouse offers a unique perspective on secluded Pwlldu Bay. Atop limestone cliffs, The Bunkhouse is nestled in Wales’ first AONB. Retreat from the bustle of city life, pause and connect with the wild, and relax to the sound of the sea as the Gower coast unfolds before you.

Surfside Chalet is light, modern and beach-themed. Many guests comment that it's a real 'home from home' with everything needed. It was my first home so I’ve designed everything to be ‘space saving’. I loved living here and really enjoy welcoming guests to stay and enjoy the beautiful local area too. It is perfectly located to walk into Mumbles or around the cliff path to Langland Bay. Plus you’re only a short car journey away from the scenic areas of natural beauty that Gower has to offer.

It has 180 degree views over Langland Bay which can be enjoyed from the bright & airy open plan living space as well as from the balcony. The apartment is ideally located only a short walk from Langland Beach and 5 minutes by car or 20 minutes walk to the picturesque village of Mumbles. This is a perfect base to explore the beaches of Gower and enjoy the surf, swimming, sunbathing and walking on offer.

The lounge has smart TV, DVD, a library of 100+ sea films and a fab wood stove. One pet welcome, contact if you have more. 2 mins walk to the coast path, 5 mins to Limeslade bay, Fortes café & Castlemare restaurant. Langland bay is not much further. Mumbles’ restaurants, bars & shops are ~10 mins walk.

Your space is on the ground floor of our sea-front home in Mumbles, offering uninterrupted views of Swansea Bay. From the suite, you can see Mumbles Lifeboat Station to the right and Oystermouth Castle to the left. The suite features a king-size bed, corner sofa (also a sofa bed), full size fridge, table and chairs, a work desk, storage, shower room, 50” TV, and WiFi. Trampoline at the back. Please note, no cooking facilities are provided but we do have bowls, plates, glasses etc.

We offer a waterside getaway with comfort in mind & everything you need within an easy 10 minute scenic walk. Chill out in this luxurious apartment with amazing views or soak in the bath /shower. Relax on a balcony overlooking the private courtyard garden with hot tub and shower or chill out on the front terrace where you take in Mumbles life & the ever-changing seascape.

Parking for 2 cars - very rare for this central location. Temporary building work taking place next door so midweek stays are discounted.
