Mount Vernon: soggiorni in baite

We originally booked 2 nights but found out after booking the funeral date we had planned got moved a day earlier. The host was very understanding and approved our reservation changes. The cabin was super cute and cozy! Had all the amenities listed. The hot tub was clean and a nice relaxation after a long day of activities. We enjoyed a fire and a movie before bed. I would definitely book again! Thank you for allowing us to make memories and for comfort your cabin brought us.

We enjoyed our stay in this cozy cabin, especially the hot tub. The bed and pillow could have been more comfortable, and we had trouble getting the HVAC working properly. It's a tight space but has what is needed, and the location is close to the Outpost store and the Garden of the Gods.

Karen and Ron were so awesome! Made sure we were comfortable and settled in and let us know if we needed anything they were there. The cabin and surroundings were beautiful and so peaceful and quiet. Thank you for making our stay so perfect!

This is a perfect place to stay for a “better than” home away from home experience. My daughter and I loved it so much that I am going to price building a cabin style home just like this one on the new piece of land I bought! Highly recommend anyone interested in staying in this area to choose Shawnee Forest Cabins! We will be back soon!

My family and I had to come in for a quick weekend trip. With 4 kids and 2 dogs it was a very affordable place to stay. My 6 year old found it fun to make the upstairs floors squeak, so once we had him stay downstairs, it was a very quiet and comfortable stay! It was quick and easy to access the highway, yet very quiet! We had to come and go frequently throughout the weekend. The host made sure it was warm for us when we got there and gave us the option for a late checkout. It was very nice.

Jordan has a great place to sit back and relax. It has everything you need. We will be looking forward to our next stay here.

We had a really good time & enjoyed our stay! We tried Driver Down, a local restaurant Brittan recommended and it was so good!! Brittan was very nice & helpful!! We will definitely have to come back this summer, and stay longer!! If you’re thinking about booking, DO IT!!!

Great secluded area within 30 minute drive of what must be 25+ hikes. It’s rural, stock up before getting in. Very comfortable home sitting right on a stream that is amazing for reading books at night or drinking coffee in the AM. Serviceable kitchen/bathroom/bedrooms. Pet friendly is a plus. If you’re coming in the next month be prepped for bad roads, seems you have to take the gravel backroad into this place which is a tad rough to say the least, but manageable. Loved being on the farm around the animals and guard dog. Only was able to tackle about 10 hikes so will definitely be back!

Peaceful, serene, excellent solo trip for this burned out teacher. The pond with all the nature sounds was beautiful. The cabin was cute, cozy, and safe. The close proximity to the falls and trails was amazing. It is also a short drive to necssities. Definitely planning a trip back.

This is a great cabin with great hosts. I have stayed here before this place is exactly as described private peaceful cabin perfect for one or two guest. Great deal for the price!

I love the cabin. The beds aren't that great comfort wise but everything else was perfect.

I can not say enough about this place, second time we have stayed there and will be back for sure!! Loved the privacy, the nature, the cleanliness of the cabins and the grounds honestly to many things to list but I can tell you if you want to go for relaxation this is the place!!! The cabin was beautiful! It was just the right size for 4 adults and 2 small kids. The kitchen and bathroom had everything we needed and the beds were very comfortable. We will definitely be staying here again when it gets warmer out so we can enjoy the fire pit outside.

What a beautiful, peaceful, special place! The first evening there we saw a barred owl, pileated woodpecker, and whitetail deer. The cabin is gorgeous place surrounded by woods and wildlife. There are parks nearby as well as a trail head into Burdette Park. The location feels secluded in the woods but is within a couple of miles of restaurants and stores. We LOVED our stay there! I was in town for the New Harmony, IN, First Brush of Spring plein air and actually set up and painted plein air at the cabin--so picturesque!! Thank you for sharing this place!!

The Wanderlust cabin was a beautiful place in a peaceful setting. Jared provided comfortable amenities and careful attention to ensure a pleasant stay.

House was clean and cozy. Beautiful scenery. Quiet and peaceful. Amazing hosts. couldn't ask for more. It was the perfect little weekend get away.
