Both our houses are designed in the contemporary style. We used custom made decor and cherry tree furniture. A lot of windows, glass doors, bright and open space are inside the house. It is very quiet outside. You most likely will be alone at the beach. We share the whole sea cove with only one neighboring house. It is a pure paradise if you want to live on the beach on your own and within minutes of driving to the main local attractions. You'll be amazed of our botanical garden and landscape.

Private yet convenient - close to the ocean, hikes, downtown SW Harbor, 5min to Acadia's Seawall Beach, Bass Harbor Lighthouse, Echo Lake Beach & more.

The Arthaus, an eclectic retreat for two

Located on Mount Desert Islands, "Quietside". The cottage features high ceilings and an open floor plan, with a small deck looking into the woods The walls are decorated with original art work by the owner. Our location is central to the island, situated just outside the village of Somesville; 15 minutes to Bar Harbor, 10 minutes to Southwest Harbor by car. Hiking and swimming opportunities are just 5 minutes away by car. The Arthaus is not suitable for pets, despite our love for them.

This 3 bedroom 3.5 bath home (each bedroom with its own full bathroom) is situated in a private, wooded setting on the edge of Southwest Harbor's bustling village. All on one level, it offers sophisticated yet comfortable furnishings in an open floor plan design. Each bedroom has a full bath. It’s close to several Acadia National Park access points (Long Pond and Echo Lake are both within a 5 minute drive). This home offers extra wide doorways accomodating those with mobility issues.

**House is located on Northeast Harbor, not Mount Desert.** **Entire property, (inside and out) is NO SMOKING. Smoking on the patios is NOT ALLOWED.** **The backyard is NOT part of this listing. There is no direct access.** **Summer reservations are Sat-Sat only. June 20-Labor Day, 2026. If close to the dates shorter reservations will be considered.** *Dogs are welcome with pre-approval only and incur a $50/night/dog. Parties not acquiring pre-approval are subject to a $500 fine

The Barnacle Cottage near Acadia

Charming tidal shore front, simple cottage located in very quiet area on desirable Lopaus Point, in the fishing village of Bernard. Lovely ocean views with spectacular sunsets. Great place to use your kayak, canoe, wading boots & bicycle. Full bathroom with shower. Open concept downstairs with kitchen/dining/living room and a grand piano, with a library of nice books. SECOND LEVEL: Half bath. 2 bedrooms with 1 double bed and 1 single bed each. Alcove with a youth bed.

“Drop Anchor” a cheerful and spacious residence

Drop Anchor is a 2 bedroom spacious residential home on the “Quietside” of Mount Desert island. You will be 5 minutes from Acadia National park. Bass Harbor headlight, Ship Harbor, Wonderland, and Seawall picnic area. Bar harbor is a 20 minute drive. Nearby is Archies lobster pound, Hansen’s seaside takeout (both walkable) and by car Thurstons lobster pound. And Seafood ketch. There are many other options in the neighboring town of Southwest Harbor.
