Press a button on the remote control to raise the blinds and let the morning sun fill a roomy, renovated space. There's an airy seaside feel inside and out, thanks to large windows, white decor and blue accents. A private dock on a tidal creek with a great view of a 150 year old lighthouse, a flower garden and an extensive lawn make this property ideal for friends, family and pets. This is the upper level of a two unit home so very safe for families. An open concept kitchen, dining and living rooms are all connected. A very large breakfast bar with eight bar stools and a view of the TV. Premium cable TV and great wifi. This listing is for the use of the entire top floor unit. We only ask that guest not try to access the first level living space. The front and rear yards are available anytime during your stay. There is a large rear lawn with scenic marsh views and views of the Ravenel cable-stay Bridge and Morris Island lighthouse. The large front deck has limited views of the ocean and the breaking surf can be heard throughout the home. I'm available by text most anytime. If you should need anything please don't hesitate to notify me. I'd be glad to recommend restaurants, outings, shopping, etc. Jean and I want to make your vacation most enjoyable. John Across from the beach, on a scenic marsh with expansive river and lighthouse views. Near the “washout” an area for the best surfing in SC, Morris Island where the Civil War Battle of Battery Wagner was fought and a bird sanctuary for the bird watcher Uber and Lyft for trips into the city of Charleston. There is no public bus service on the island. Traffic getting on the island can be heavy on the weekends so do your grocery shopping during the week or on your way in. There is a small market on the island but very limited and expensive.

The Backpacker

Our "Backpacker" is a cute and cozy 96 sq.ft. of tiny house nirvana. Situated on a small tidal slough, it provides a beautiful natural setting for reflection and appreciation of that which is good in life. For those looking for luxury, the Backpacker is not for you (you may encounter bugs and it's really hot in summer). However, the Backpacker has a pretty cool vibe, and is extremely convenient to historic Charleston and Funky Folly Beach. The Backpacker is for backpackers and nature lovers.

Lowcountry Folly

Recently remodeled, private 3 bed, 3 bath- sleeps up to 8. New kitchen appliances, new floors, new carpet, and furniture. LowCountry Folly is on a marsh-front lot with a large back yard featuring a dock. Beach access is two houses down to the right and surfing at the 'Washout' is less than 1 mile. Morris Light House is best viewed at the end of the island, a short walk away. Sunsets are best watched from our 'Crows Nest' with a bottle of wine. Charleston is a quick drive. This cozy guest house is located on Ocean View Road, which is a dead end. A quick down walk down the road and you will see Clark Sound and the Morris Island Lighthouse. The private driveway will easily accomodate your vehicle as well as a boat trailer should you decide to bring your own boat. Sunny Spot is 7 miles from Folly Beach and about 7 miles from downtown Charleston. It is also very close to John's Island where some excellent restaurants and breweries can be found.
