Montgellafrey: soggiorni in chalet

Overall: Came for a winter skiing week with 3 adults and 2 children. Everyone was very satisfied with this very nice chalet -- but prepare yourself for some low ceilings. Pros: Larger than we were expecting. Split toilet and shower helps with larger group. Lots of places to dry your wet items. Area outside for kids to play in snow with toys and sled(ge)s available. Sheltered picnic table just outside the front door. Able to borrow a variety of cooking equipment for making local delicacies. Extremely helpful host. Beautiful interior and exterior. Cons: You WILL bump your head on the large ceiling joist over the beds in the 3-bed room. No matter how much you think you have learned where it is, you haven't. On the last day while packing achieved concussion level impact with this joist, despite a week of experience. Other low areas such as over stairs could be an issue for a taller person. Garage has limited space for accessing vehicle and we parked only half into the garage.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Chalet Cosmos from March 1st to March 8th, 2025. Our group of five adults and three children (ages 2.5, 13, and 14) felt completely at home. The chalet is just as beautiful as in the photos—spacious, impeccably clean, and thoughtfully equipped with everything needed for a comfortable stay. The stunning view of Mont Blanc from the window made every morning special, especially while enjoying a warm cup of tea or coffee. The house is very warm and cozy, with comfortable rooms for everyone. The fully equipped kitchen had more than enough glasses, plates, and utensils, making meal preparation effortless. We also really appreciated the selection of board games, which provided great entertainment after a long day on the slopes. The location is perfect for exploring the four ski resorts in the Chamonix area, and we were able to visit them all. The chalet was an ideal base for our adventures.

A la hauteur de nos attentes si ce n'est plus ! Tout ce que nous venions chercher etait réuni...calme et authenticité. Logement impeccable, du choix de la décoration à la propreté, sans oublier les petits à côté qui font la différence et le succès d'un séjour. Bref, rien à redire si ce n'est " Quand est-ce que l'on y retourne ?! ". Un grand merci Valerie pour cette petite parenthese enchanteresque et au combien ressourçante avant de réattaquer une nouvelle année !

C'est toujours un grand plaisir de revenir au Barillon et de se retrouver dans le beau chalet d'Alain et Ginette, entouré de magnifiques montagnes et de belles forêts. Alain et Ginette sont des hôtes top, supers gentils, avenants comme à leur habitude.

Pauline was very welcoming and gave us lots of help and information regarding local attractions. The house is very clean and has everything you'll need. We were 2 adults, 2 small children and 1 baby and there was plenty of space.

Séjour dépaysant dans un environnement proche de la nature et du centre village. Nous avons apprécié la présence discrète et la bienveillance de Gérard. Nous espérons y revenir.

Nous avons passé quelques jours dans le chalet et tout était parfait ! Nous étions 3 couples. Les chambres sont agréables, 2 salle de bain et 2 wc c'est top. La vue de la pièce de vie est absolument magnifique. L'endroit est très calme tout en étant proche de la station. Un grand merci à Carole,qui s'occupe de l'accueil des hôtes, pour sa gentillesse et sa bonne humeur ! Grande souplesse sur les horaires d'arrivée et de départ et c'est très appréciable.

Alles in allem hat die Unterkunft unsere Erwartungen gut erfüllt. Bei einigen Dingen merkt man, dass sie etwas in die Jahre gekommen sind, für unsere Gruppe war dies jedoch völlig in Ordnung. Insbesondere das sehr offen gestaltete Mittelgeschoss war toll und der Jakuzi nach einem anstrengenden Skitag waren eine Wucht. Der Kontakt zu Iona war exzellent. Sie hat immer sehr kurzfristig auf Fragen reagiert, war sehr freundlich und zugewandt. Uns hat es sehr gut gefallen!

Nous avons profité de plusieurs jours. Le paysage de la montagne est à chaque moment de la journée un tableau différent ce qui est très agréable. Il est vrai qu avec notre petite d 1 an et demi les escaliers peuvent faire peur. Avec la barrière fournie et les chaises fauteuils on arrive à sécuriser ceux ci tout de même. Juste au niveau du jacuzzi l odeur n était pas très agréable et bulles à pression moyenne. Mis à part ce léger bémol logement superbe! A recommander

Nous avons passé un superbe séjour au chalet. Très beau, très bien aménagé. Literie très confortable. Accueil chaleureux par Julien, qui était dispo pour toute question 24/24. Le chalet se situe au Bettex, à 5min en voiture et 15-20min à pied de la station de ski du Bettex, familiale (luge, ski, restau). St Gervais se trouve à 10min de voiture en bas dans la vallée.

Easily one of the best airbnb's we've stayed at. It accurately matched the description, host was very responsive and very flexible to our requests. Pictures matched exactly and don't do the views justice. The kitchen is very well stocked with every appliance and kitchen utensils you might need. The coffee machine was fantastic in the mornings. Hot tub was great, and each room had amazing insulation. While some people watched TV upstairs others could go to sleep undisturbed. Wifi worked great (~90MB/s in the living room) and I was able to get a bit of work done while I was there. I'll warn you to park at the base of the small cluster of houses in the public parking and walk the rest of the way. It is possible to drive up to the house but the street becomes very narrow with buildings on either side and might be difficult with a larger car or if you don't have experience driving on tight European village roads. The walk from the public parking is very easy and at most took 2 minutes.

Très grand chalet au pied des sentiers de randonnée. Un lieu calme, idéal pour se ressourcer. Nous étions 8 adultes et un bébé, nous aurions facilement pu être 2 adultes de plus. Le jacuzzi est un vrai plus !

Simply amazing place; perfect for a family of skiers. Very spacious, tastefully arranged, with fantastic views, just a dream. Better than the pictures. Practicality-wise, kitchen is very well equipped, utility room and pantry are separate, and there's both washer and dryer. En-suite shower is really nice, and family bathroom is spacious and has separate toilet. Foyer has heated floor and plenty of space for skiing gear. Overall, much more spacious and comfortable place than typical chalet in the area. Isabelle was very helpful to arrange snowmobile for our luggage on check-in and check-out. If you are skiing, and Bettex lift is working - the access is just perfect, but even with lift not yet opened (as in our case) it's a breeze to ski to the cabines down and then via Finance piste back. For restaurants and local grocery after ski it was a short sporty walk. Couldn't be happier with our stay - recommended.

Melanie and Nico were the best Airbnb hosts we've ever encountered. As soon as we arrived, we were met with so much kindness and a huge surprise! Throughout the week, they always made sure we were good by scheduling shuttle times for the mountain, providing us with daily food menus to order from, and coming to help us when we didn't know how to use the coffee machine. The house itself is incredible! It was a beautiful feeling to dip in the hot tub, sauna, or pool after a long day on the slopes. The view of the mountains from the house was one of the best views we've seen. It was also easy to navigate into the Arcs. From the house, it's about a 10-15-minute walk to Arcs 1600, and from there, it's super easy to take the bus to the other Arcs. If you want an incredible, relaxing, unforgettable experience, book with Melanie and Nico. You won't regret it!

We had a fantastic stay at Chalet Matalen! The chalet is set in a beautiful and peaceful location slightly away from the centre of Arc 1800 which made for a wonderfully relaxing stay—we were never disturbed. However, access to the slopes and village was still very easy, with the Jardin Alpin lift just a five-minute walk away and a regular shuttle bus service at the end of the road providing connections to various destinations in Les Arcs. The chalet itself is spacious, spotlessly clean and very well equipped with excellent facilities including a ski room that was incredibly useful after a day on the slopes. Everything was thoughtfully designed to ensure a comfortable stay. A special mention to Fanny, who provided support throughout our stay. She was attentive, easy to contact and very helpful, ensuring we had everything we needed. If you’re looking for a high-quality chalet in a stunning setting this is the perfect choice. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again!

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour chez Josiane ; le cadre est très beau, le logement est calme et fonctionnel. Nous avons apprécié l' accueil convivial de notre hôte et son sens de l'hospitalité. L'emplacement du logement nous a permis de faire de très belles randonnées et d'accéder au coeur du village facilement sans prendre la voiture.

Confortable cabin for a very peaceful vacation. We went here last it’s my kids and they loved the lake view! Also, we managed to ski for one day in a station only 1 hour away!

Dès notre arrivée Jérôme et Laëtitia se sont montrés attentionnés et disponibles pour nous faciliter l'accès à leur logement malgré une fête au village. Le logement est bien conçu et bien équipé, lumineux et moderne. La terrasse est agréable : ombragée et arborée avec une belle vue tout en étant située au coeur du village. L'emplacement est idéal, on gare la voiture et on peut tout faire à pied : balade au village avec commerces et restaurants, départs de randonnées. Nous avons passé un agréable séjour avec nos deux enfants et nous en avons pris plein les yeux, les paysages sont superbes. On recommande ! Merci à Jérôme et Laëtitia et bonne continuation.

Le chalet de Pascal est convivial et extrêmement paisible, vous êtes bercé par le bruit de la rivière et le calme de la montagne. Les équipements à disposition dans la maison permettent de cuisiner tous les petits plats de la montagne. Les remontées sont à 5 minutes, seulement le domaine de Saint Colomban est excentré du domaine des sybelles. Je recommande vivement ! Pascal est un hôte à l’écoute et bienveillant.

Es war wunderschön! Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt, alles war vorhanden. Garten und Terrasse sind sehr groß und der See in wenigen Minuten erreichbar. C'était merveilleux! Nous nous sommes sentis très à l'aise, tout était là. Le jardin et la terrasse sont très grands et le lac est accessible en quelques minutes

un cadre enchanteur pour un week-end en famille très agréable ( 4 couples). La cuisine est très bien aménagée avec beaucoup de vaisselle et d'ustensiles. Les matériaux ( en particulier cuisine et salles d'eau) sont de superbe qualité. Tout est intelligemment agencé.Le séjour est très chaleureux et lumineux. Notre hôte a toujours été réactif et très flexible sur l'arrivée et le départ.

Gîte très agréable dans un hameau calme et paisible. Beaucoup de randonnées proches. Nous sommes partis à 16, le gîte se prête bien à cette taille de groupe. Bonne communication avec notre hôte, Pascal nous a donné toutes les informations nécessaires au bon déroulement de notre séjour.
