Beeindruckende Villa mit großem Garten. Der See ist nur wenige Minuten entfernt und das Haus sauber und gepflegt. Unsere Gastgeberin war immer ansprechbar und hilfsbereit. Wir können die Unterkunft nur weiter empfehlen.

Jenifer was very accommodating. We had sone delays getting in . However, she allowed our adult daughter to check in and get settled. We had 10 people who had plenty of room . There are 2 separate buildings so you can spread out . Also, a beautiful courtyard in between the two buildings. There is a beautiful view of the Church ( especially at night) . I would suggest parking on the street. The road is very steep. The cars were safe on the street. Thank you again Jenifer for your hospitality.

Buen lugar, para pasar en ambiente familiar o con amigos tiene todo lo que necesitas. Las tiendas de conveniencia están serca y hay accesos serca para mobilizarte a otros pueblos y conocer todo el lugar.

Increíble lugar, las fotos del anuncio son hermosas pero en persona superó las expectativas. La casa muy amplia, con muchos ambientes para que, aunque hayan muchas personas, cada quien puede tener su espacio.Tiene todo lo necesario. El jardín hermoso así como la salida al lago. Muy cerca de Santiago que también la calle principal muy bonita. Don Eduardo muy amable nos apoyó muchísimo. Seguramente volveremos, muchas gracias por todo.

Michael’s is a start host, a great communicator and goes above and beyond to make sure your stay is as easy and enjoyable as possible. He recommends places to shop, eat, and lancha/shuttle services. The groundskeeper Lucas and his family are gems and truly make the house a home. They pick you up at the port in Jaibalito and assist with luggage and his wife Teresa makes the most delicious tortillas. Now for the house! It was beautifully decorated filled with traditional and tasteful decor. The view from the upper balcony is to die for with a spectacular view of the lake and volcanos as well as the amazing house garden. Any time of day, morning, afternoon, or night, it’s sure to be your favorite spot. Amenities were included soap, shampoo, towels, coffee as well as everything you need to cook like pans and spices. We enjoyed reading Michael’s story and history of the house in the house rulebook which contains all you need to know for your stay. You are sure to feel at home here.

I’ve been coming to Guatemala since I was a child, as my family is from here. But in all the years that we’ve been coming, this has been the best experience we’ve had. The home was clean, beautiful, tranquil, and spacious. Our host, Maria, was so amazing and very informative. Yohanna the housekeeper was also amazing! I will be sure to book this home again for when I come back to Guatemala!

The place was gorgeous with an amazing view and just a short walk to Santa Catarina’s town. Ricardo was super friendly and gave us great tips on places to visit and eat. The owner kindly let us leave our backpacks after checkout so we could explore more before leaving, which was a huge help. Highly recommend!

The house and location are beautiful. The groundskeeper is always available and willing to help, checking on us on a daily basis. The host provided tour services and was very communicative. The house is clean but there is some room for improvement. Please note: the house has a lot of steps/stairs, which is typical on a lake front property around Atitlan, but if you are traveling with an elderly group or disable guest, I would suggest staying at a hotel with accessible amenities. That said, we enjoyed our stay here, the views, amenities, and hot tub. PS: This is our second time in Atitlan, and we felt the prices of several services have gone up by a large margin (laundry services, home made meals, transportation (boat and Tuk Tuk), tours). Prices are going up globally so we expected a change but not as much. Expect to pay a tourist tax but pay attention. As a family, we support the local economy, and are aware and okay with paying extra but nobody likes feeling taken advantage of.

Our stay was beyond incredible. From the staff helping with the luggage up the stairs, to entering the place and seeing the beautiful views. The photos don’t capture it all. The beds were very comfortable, they have fans which my husband used since he likes it cooler at night. There was rain and thunder one night but during the day the sun and weather was perfect for kayaking and paddling boarding. Fredy the groundskeeper helped turn on the temezcal (sauna) each day after our morning swim on the lake. We got the chef for lunch and dinner, best decision and food was delectable and traditional. Erynne provided recommendations including where to buy the best coffee in the lake. The staff were always so sweet, welcoming and shared a lot about the indigenous culture with my teenagers. We saw three scorpions but my husband grabbed with the kitchen utensils and put them outside. You must be adventurous, if you are going to Lake Atitlan. Our stay was nothing but pristine, peaceful and relaxing

Beautiful house with many rooms and spectacular views. The concierge was especially helpful in organization including transportation and chef meals. We had a wonderful stay and appreciated the care and responsiveness of Daniel. House was very clean, pool was great to use. Highly recommend

Our stay at Casa Eggedal was a wonderful, peaceful retreat. The surroundings are extraordinarily beautiful, with gorgeous gardens. The house is well designed for enjoying the scenery and for relaxing. The kitchen has more dishes and cooking pots/pans than I have at home. Deedle was very responsive and friendly. We loved relaxing in the pool and exploring the areas around the lake. As noted in other reviews, there are LOTS of stairs on the property, so be sure you’re up for that. We loved it and would definitely recommend a stay.

La casa es hermosa, una casa colonial, muy grande, al viajar por el lago nos damos cuenta que en toda la zona los caminos son de difícil acceso, por cuestas muy grandes pero es cuestión del todo el lago, tienen un muelle donde te recoge la lancha directamente en la casa, el guardián de la casa Rogelio es de las mejores personas que existen, muy amable, muy servicial, le agarramos mucho cariño, todo estuvo excelente

Un lugar privado, tranquilo y muy cómodo. Daniel estuvo pendiente de nuestra llegada y brindó instrucciones precisas. Agradecemos los servicios de Erika y Carlos que ayudaron en las necesidades que puedan surgir como limpieza, etc son personas agradables y muy atentas.

Wow wow wow! We had the most amazing time! It was such a stunning location but more than that, Martin- who took care of the house and property, was an amazing asset. He helped us in so many ways! He helped arrange transportation, home cooked (delicious ) meals, and laundry. The pool and hot tub were amazing and although the location was a bit remote, it was easy to get anywhere to find what we wanted to see and do. Our group was truly sad to leave!
