Het aanzicht van het huis dateert uit eind 18e eeuw. En binnen zijn oudere elementen uit de beginperiode (1390) van het huis te zien. Gouda heeft een station en is centraal gelegen tussen Den Haag, Rotterdam, Leiden, Delft en Utrecht. De steden zijn aan te raden voor een dagtrip en goed te bereiken per trein. Door de ligging veel privacy. Tevens kun je zelf in de steenoven je eigen pizza bakken!! "Gastenverblijf De Hucht" zelf is 87m2 groot en voorzien van alle nodige luxe. Er is een woon-eetgedeelte met tv en complete keuken. Verder 3 sfeervolle slaapkamers en een aparte badkamer met toilet.

Monumentale boerderij Het Vinkenest in Oud-Alblas, direct gelegen aan het water "De Alblas". De molens van Kinderdijk liggen een paar kilometer verderop en zijn natuurlijk een must om naar toe te gaan. De oude stad Dordrecht is bereikbaar met de auto binnen 10 minuten, en met 20 minuten ben je in Rotterdam. Sinds kort is er ook een 8-persoons sloep te huur als aanvulling. Dit is de ideale locatie voor een geweldig familieweekend en niet geschikt voor groepen onder de 25 jaar.

Geniet van een heerlijk kopje koffie of thee in de gezellige keuken en ga op ontdekkingsreis. Centrale ligging, vele restaurantjes en bezienswaardigheden in de buurt.
