The location was amazing. Simply waking up everyday to the sun shining on the river was enough to wash away your worries. Even when it was cloudy, the view was simply stunning. We will visit again, if we don’t move to the area sooner!

We had a great time here. Everything was wonderful. The ability to rent the boat was the best perk and Joe made it super easy for us.

My husband and I, along with 2 other couples, enjoyed our stay at Julie and Rory’s place. Everything went smoothly and we felt right at home. Any help or questions we had, they were happy to assist and went beyond our expectations. You will love this place and the atmosphere is exactly what we wanted in a weekend get away. We’ve stayed at many locations from ABB. This place had unmatched hospitality, toiletries, and conveniences. We have a house in the same neighborhood but when it was full needed a place to go. The fishing was awesome right of the back canal. The fenced dog run made the stay very accommodating to our French Bulldogs. 10/10 review from us. We will definitely be back. The owners are very relaxed and just made it easy to enjoy. Best holiday ever!!

Morgan was a great host. She thought of everything so I really didn’t have any questions. Property was a super cool place on the canal. Kayaks were a big hit with the kids. 10/10 would stay here again!

We loved our stay at this adorable little cabin. The view of the lake was beautiful, the open living area was great for hanging out, and the kitchen was well equipped for cooking. I will definitely look at staying here again in the future for another relaxing weekend!

Great place to stay! My husband and I had such a peaceful and relaxing time. The cottage felt very cozy. I had some trouble checking in because I'm not used to AirBnB, but the host was very helpful and responsive. Checkout was easy as well! We hope to come back soon!!

Amazing! Amazing! Amazing! From the booking to anything we needed and Larry is an awesome host! The lake, the camp fire and the cabin, is all very nice and welcoming. Infinite stars from us! My family loved it! You can stay by the lake all day and hang out and you’ll never get bored. Creed (our four legged child), loved the place as well and he was happy as a clam the whole time. We couldn’t ask for a better lake house to go to and we are definitely coming back! Larry, thank you so much! You are truly and an amazing host!

Great place to stay! Cute and little, nice scenery, sadly we went during the cold so the lakes were still frozen, but it would be amazing during the summer!

We came back to Vandalia for my father’s funeral and this was the perfect place for our family. Peaceful, cozy and great accommodations. We know this will be a repeat for us if we’re ever back in the area.

My husband and I really enjoyed our 4 night stay at this cabin. You can’t beat the location in a quiet cove of the lake with little boat traffic, but a quick drive into town for activities or dining. The space is nicely laid out and very cozy - always love when throws and such are provided. The bed was comfortable, shower has plenty of pressure, the sunsets and stars from the backyard and dock were great. We enjoyed fishing from the dock and some wine and marshmallows by the fire pit - the wood and roasting sticks were provided. It is pet friendly but you would never know it with how well it was cleaned - no dog hair or smell. As others noted, the dogs across the street are barkers but only when cars go by which isn’t very often and the white noise app on my phone completely drowned them out for sleeping at night. The layout of the property provides plenty of options - it was nice having the car under cover for some storms that came through. We’d happily stay here again.

May I call of a camp? I’m from Louisiana as well. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. It was peaceful even though we had some bad weather we’re used to that in Louisiana. We enjoyed the food around the area and tour all the gardens and Avery Island. it was a very good tripI would definitely recommend it

If you’re looking for a perfect getaway to be on the river this is it! Very nice cabin, clean and well maintained property. They had plenty of extra blankets, towels, and all the essentials. Front porch views of the river was so nice and luckily we had some clear nights and you could see so many stars. The only issue I had getting to the location was using my default map on iPhone. I would suggest using the google map app. Other than that it’s an awesome place to stay and I’ll definitely be back again!

Such an amazing little spot they have by the water! It’s really quiet and beautiful out here, we went on a few walks around. The cabin was cute with the essentials. Loved the bunk beds

Awesome host! Was only there for a quick visit with coworkers but this would be a PERFECT retreat for an outdoorsy family. Will book again!

My family and I stayed this past weekend with our two dogs and the entire stay was a dream. Everything was better than we expected and we cannot wait to come back again 🙂

We love this place! The location is great for hunting, fishing and snowmobiling. We will make this our go to place for future trips when available.
