Great house to stay. Very clean. Golf cart is a must. Don't have to walk anywhere. We will stay here again or maybe his other house on the island. 😁

Beautiful place and a private setting. Everything was as described. There is plenty of space. Loved that we were able to have our doggies with us too. We would definitely come back!

This was exactly what I was looking for. Very quiet, peaceful. The cove is full of bird activity and the sky is full of stars at night. My wife and I spent most of our time at and around the cottage, hanging out fishing from the pier. Parke and Marjorie also have 2 of the most well behaved dogs I have ever seen. Hugo and Tina were a delight to have around. They know their space and will not interfere even while grilling out. If I may make a recommendation, bring your binoculars and star gazing equipment. Just an absolute great place to relax. Looking forward to returning in late summer.Thanks Parke,Majorie, Hugo and Tina. We had a furrbulos time.

we had an excellent time at the little grey house. its cute and comfy and the view is to die for. please do yourselves a favor and watch the sunrise at least once its beautiful. theres not much on the island itself for food but there are plenty of places to find good food near by. I highly recommend the pizza at southwind pizza. was really good. I promise you will enjoy your stay at. Will hopefully beable to book again next time were down in the area!

The house was very nice, it was cleaned very well when we got there and there were plenty of amenities for everyone. The beach is accessible with maybe a two minute walk. The area is pretty, we saw horseshoe crabs and jellyfish at the beach, and the neighbors are friendly. The jellies can sting, but the kind of jellyfish here are painless enough that I initially thought I got bumped into by a floating stick, and the locals at the beach completely ignored the one in the water. The nearby restaurant/bar stays pretty busy, but it’s really nice as well.

The Blue Oyster was a lovely and relaxing oasis for our girls weekend getaway. The house was so well appointed anything you could need or want was available and accessible. The screened in porch was wonderful for having conversation, wine and cheese to relax before dinner. Bathrooms were clean and well appointed. Beds were very comfortable. Extra blankets in case we needed them. Gas fireplace in the living room provided lovely ambiance and warmth as the day cooled off. Highly recommend stay at The Blue Oyster if you find yourself in Irvington!

This adorable home was just what we were looking for....a place to get away from the noise and business of life. The views of the water from the house and the pier were the highlight. The whole family sat out on the pier/deck overlooking the beautiful, quiet river taking turns on the kayaks and stand up board. We watched birds, gazed at the ever changing skies, and talked and laughed. Later in the evening, we sat by the fire pit and roasted marshmallows. The house is really cute with the kitchen in the center. It had all of the pots, pans, gadgets, etc we needed to prepare our meals. I loved how there were several rooms (sunroom, living room, and screened porch) for us to hang out which provided a space for all of our needs. Many thanks to Elizabeth for sharing this lovely home with us.

We stayed at Matt's place for our 33rd wedding anniversary weekend. What a beautiful and peaceful home on the water! We loved the screened-in porch on mornings and at sunset especially, and we only wish we could have stayed longer! We hope to return soon!
