Mid Devon District: soggiorni in campeggio

We stayed at the Ally Pally for a weekend break and it was idyllic. The enclosed garden meant it was perfect for our young children to play without worrying about them wondering off, the location was so secluded and private we didn't see another person all weekend, and the bird chatter was a delight to listen to while sat in the sun. Matt was extremely helpful with clear on instructions on how to find the place and contacted us once we were there to check we had settled in ok and to ask if we needed any recommendations for things to do locally. The ally pally was well kitted out with everything we needed and we had a fantastic time.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Reforge. Beautiful surroundings, plenty of contact with nature, the coolest and most unique bar and friendly staff. The perfect heaven on earth.

The quality of the accommodation is excellent and of a high standard, with the attention to detail plainly evident. We found all the essentials were supplied, tea, coffee, toiletries etc and a lovely touch. We are a family of six and found the quality of the beds, bedding, shower, towels, kitchen amenities, furnishings superb. The accommodation was roomy and comfortable even when it was chilly outside, with lots of heating options including a log burner to keep warm. Jono was on hand to check us in and give advice on local attractions. Thank you. This is an absolute gem and we had a wonderful stay. We hope to see you again. Jason & Denise

Fantastic night away in a quirky interesting space !!!! Full of original items such as the original radio which our children danced to 💃💃💃 The fairy garden and pigs were the most perfect addition for our children aged 6 & 8 Accommodation was spacious with plenty of room for us all Enjoyed the fire pit when the sun went down Beautiful spot with plenty of wildlife !!!!!! Definitely visit this place you won’t be disappointed!!!!

Absolutely fab weekend away! This place is such a unique experience and has great facilities, including comfy beds and sofas, pots and pans, games, table tennis, and cool boxes which makes a camping trip super easy for everyone. We will definitely be returning next year!

This is a wonderful and peaceful place. The caravan is spacious and full of games, books and general stuff to keep everyone entertained. Garden is just fabulous and the wildlife flourishes. This is a very child friendly place with lots of space for kids to run around and lots of things to do without having to leave the comfortable space…and you have chickens as your neighbours. Location is ideal for exploring nearby places & attractions and / or you can just walk to Longford which is a stunning place.

A wonderful stay in a bell tent for our first glamping experience. Good facilities and really enjoyed our time here.

An amazing stay, have not felt this relaxed in ages. The views were stunning, it was so peaceful and the hot tub was a great added bonus. Will definitely return to visit again.

Myself, my wife, my daughter, my in-laws and our dog had an amazing stay. The caravan was perfect. It was clean and in a perfect location. We loved the added extras such as the welcoming sign, the hot drink ingredients and the extras for our dog. Zoe has thought of everything. We loved the location and had the best few days. This place was amazing. We booked it for our 12 year olds birthday and it was just perfect. So peaceful and quiet. The hot tub was brilliant and we all loved it. The bus was so well kitted out. Our bed was SO comfortable - slept really well! The owners kindly put up a Happy Birthday banner for our son along with marshmallows for the fire. There was even a bottle of Prosecco in the fridge🤩 We all feel like we have had a real “brain break”, going home feeling relaxed, chilled and calm. We actually didn’t want to leave and stay forever. Just a fantastic place and can’t wait to go back. It was all so so so perfect - Thank you

We had a lovely stay for our sons 5th birthday. The play barn was a big hit with our two, our 9 year old said 'this place is better than Disneyland!' The hosts messaged on the day to say it will be ready a couple of hours early which was great. Such a relaxing spot with plenty for the children. Thank you.

I had a lovely stay at Pippins, Jill was so lovely and accommodated me bringing my daughter last minute without any issues. She was friendly chatty and helpful, when I accidentally turned off the hot water and didn't know what I had done. I would love to come back to stay again. Great host, Great Location and a Great place.

We had a wonderful stay! The tent was extremely cosy, loved lighting the log burner every morning and waking to the sights of sheep, lamb and alpacas outside. There is a real sense of tranquility at this property, off the beaten track but easy to get to nearby towns, beaches and attractions. We, and especially the kids, love the hot tub and bbq. Also was able to go out for some great trail runs. Would 100% recommend.

Kate’s place was absolutely perfect for me, my husband and our nervous rescue dog. The field was even bigger than I expected and it was lovely to be able to let the dog explore without having to worry that she could get out. The accommodation itself was quirky and fun and also super comfortable. Kate was an amazing host who made sure that we had everything we needed including a nice welcome pack with homemade scones, a lovely weekend away and so calming

Josh’s place is probably the best airbnb that we’ve been too.. even my 4 year old thinks its the best part of our holiday. Josh has been an absplute favorite with the kids too after he’s let them ride his tractor. (Luggages need to be transported with Josh’s tractor from the parking to the property as its a bit of a walk if not, he even helped us with loading it back). Everything youll need is there and even though there are 5 accomodations in the field, you have enough privacy for each. Roselyn the bus did not disappoint with comfort. Having lived in London for the last 10 years, it was surreal to sleep in a bus 🤣. Its spotless (as if its never been used before even though we know its such a busy accomodation). Honesty shop was a good concept too. There were wnough blankets to keep us cozy on the chilly outdood nights and the kitchen is fully equipped. The alpacas also made for a good experience for pur 3 kids. Its also plenty fo space for 8 people 👏🏼. Overall, cant recommend more!

Lovely stay at the bluebird penthouse. Hot tub was great and perfect after a day of exploring North Devon. Instructions to use pizza oven and BBQ all really clear, great suggestions for things to do and places to eat. Would really recommend smoke on the water. The place is as described and clean. The patio is great and although it was a little chilly, we still made full use of it in the evenings! It is on a farm so there is noise from around but mostly super peaceful and private. Thank you so much for a lovely stay and we cannot wait to visit again.

Phil gave us a warm welcome to a very special land, nested into the valley, by the river and logged under an oak tree. A comforting place for who wants peace and enjoy the sound of the wind intertwined with the one of the river. And If you're lucky and the clouds shy away, to be blessed with a star carpeted night.

A serene and charming stay at Lucy and Andy’s. The hot tub is fantastic and the views of the countryside can’t be beaten. Accommodating and friendly hosts, would recommend to anyone.

Great accommodation - very peaceful location but still within walking distance of a pub - with some bonus features; very well equipped kitchen, lovely outdoor seating area, super hot tub Great hosts - welcoming and loaded with very useful local info - we wouldn't have had a lovely afternoon tipple at the local vineyard (do not miss!) without! Double thumbs up for the airstream if you're thinking of staying in the area

Me and my partner had a wonderful stay here. Such a beautiful part of the world. The horse box is located within the campsite but in its own separate field so you really do get a peaceful and private experience. It had everything we needed from cooking facilities to plenty of towels and extra little touches. We really enjoyed the decking area and enjoyed sitting out there each morning. It’s amazing how much sharn has managed to incorporate into such a small space, sharn himself was super friendly and attentive as a host. Will be recommending this place to friends and family
