Merseyside: soggiorni in cottage

The cottage was like something out of a fairytale – cosy, magical, and set right beside a waterfall, so we fell asleep each night to the sound of running water. Inside, it was incredibly cosy and full of charm, and the outdoor space was just as special – we had such a great time relaxing in the hot tub and hanging out on the beautiful terrace. It’s also in a brilliant location for hiking – we loved exploring Lud’s Church and went wild swimming at Three Shires Head, only about a 30-minute drive away. Linnett was an incredible host – kind, welcoming, and super responsive. Honestly, the ultimate dream home. We didn’t want to leave!

Had a wonderful 2 nights staying in the cottage on a working farm. It felt really peaceful but was also only a 5-10 min drive to Ruthin. We stayed here so we could go walking in the Clwydian Range, this was around a 15-20 min drive depending on which car park we wanted to start the walk from, but it was all perfect for us. We even found a short local walk from the cottage itself along a public footpath. The cottage was very well equipped, we used the kitchen each evening, and it was a lovely cozy space. The cottage was immaculate and we really enjoyed the hot tub, and watching the horses nearby. Richard and Ceri were lovely and welcoming hosts and we'd highly recommend the rural retreat.

We enjoyed our stay at the cottage. We would definitely stay again and will be recommending our families and friends to stay.

We had such a lovely stay at this beautiful Airbnb. The one-bedroom space was incredibly spacious and well laid out, with a super comfy bed that made it hard to leave in the morning! The private garden was huge and perfect for relaxing, especially with the hot tub—it felt like our own little retreat. The area is peaceful and quiet, which made the whole stay even more relaxing. Highly recommend for a cosy, private getaway!

I've always been a bit nervous about doing an Air BnB but I shouldn't have worried. Communication was great. I had some questions about the home, got rub and local area and I always got a speedy response. The hot tub was a major plus. Really enhanced our stay and it was a huge hit. The weather certainly helped and there was everything we needed in the home if not more! I would potentially return here again. Thank you!

We absolutely loved our stay at Kathryn's place. The place is exactly how you imagine it would be by looking at the description and the photos. We will definitely be going back again. Kathryn was very responsive and so helpful with whatever queries we had.

A fantastic property with a high quality and luxurious finish. Peaceful, with the feeling of being in the middle of nowhere, despite being extremely close to shops and bars. Stayed with my three kids. Enjoyed the hot-tub and garden. The place was spotlessly clean and all of the appliances worked perfectly. A great sleep in very comfy beds, next to the sound of nature. Thanks for a beautiful stay!

Nicola (in particular) and Scott was the perfect hosts, from the initial booking, through to the directions and advice on getting there was brilliant! Me and my other guest were amazed at how beautiful the cottage, amenities and views were. Could literally not fault A thing (coming from a group of 5 women that says it all 😅) Thank you to you both and we will DEFINITELY be returning 😊

Jackie's house is lovely, spacious, and very clean. Jackie kept me updated with information and was very responsive. The house is just a short walk from the canal which is a great walking route.

This cottage was a joy to stay in and offered a relaxing, private and peaceful space during a hectic few days. Daniel was incredibly pleasant to communicate with and offered local knowledge and recommendations as well as some much appreciated special touches. This is my first time staying in an air b and b and I was pleasantly surprised. Me and my family had a lovely stay at the cottage, really peaceful area. Check in was easy, and Emma had left recommendations of near by places and clear instructions for the cottage. The cottage was clean and homely, decor was beautiful and modern, had good quality linen and beds. Slept amazing! Emma was kind enough to leave milk, bread,snacks and tea and coffee for our arrival. Highly recommend to anyone and we would 100% return when we stay in this area again to see family x

One of the best holiday cottages we've stayed in. Very clean, cosy and quirky, with loads of thoughtful touches. Well equipped kitchen, lovely welcome hamper, even a tin of biscuits for the dog. We wanted a coastal location with walks from the door, with places to eat and drink nearby, and we got just that. It was also beautifully quiet at night so we slept like logs. Loads to explore nearby by car, train and ferry. Totally recommend a New Brighton break! Thanks Kate. We had a fabulous time. :-)

Lovely Airbnb in Port Sunlight which made for a great base while visiting family nearby. The beds were comfortable and a travel cot was provided for our toddler which was appreciated. The kitchen is very bare so if you’re planning to cook you’ll need to stock up as well as bring your own shampoo/body wash and laundry detergents if using the washer. We didn’t have a car which wasn’t an issue with the train station a short walk away. Highly recommend and would happily stay again when we are next in Liverpool.

From a question before we booked to the morning we pulled away to come home the whole experience was superb. Deborah was super attentive from start to finish but totally respected our privacy. The quality of the finish and detail on the actual building cannot be praised highly enough, the facilities, fittings are to the same exceptionally high standard. Spotlessly clean, modern & everything you need for some time away. The silence, but for the birds singing was beautiful, you get way more for your money than you realise. If you are looking then stop and book, you wont be disappointed 👌

A lovely and very comfortable little barn with great hosts. Excellent communication and flexibility: We booked on the day of arrival and Kim very quickly replied offering us early arrival should we wish. Very highly recommended.

Beautiful clean and private. Chris is an amazing host and this is a little gem for anyone looking for a stop over for work or a little hidey-hole tucked away in the middle of suburbia with a gorgeous suntrap garden hidden away at the end. Highly recommend!

We had a fabulous stay very comfort in lovely surroundings. Very clean and tidy. Decor was of a high standard. Beds comfortable. Parking right outside, very private area. Access to the property is by key safe very quick and easy. Would definitely recommend.

just got back from a lovely weekend in Catherine's cosy cottage had a wonderful weekend the cottage was perfect for all our needs nice and clean and excellent location for the village Catherine explained everything that we needed to know and gave us some useful information on the area. croston is also a lovely village with extremely friendly people made our stay even nicer with locals so welcoming. Had lovely breakfast in the sports bar and a great meal in the indian restaurant but there is plenty of places to eat/drink it was difficult to choose great little break away thankyou Catherine.

We were visiting a family just a few doors down and this was the perfect location and situation for the two of us. Very quiet! Would definitely stay again! (Would definitely easily sleep more than two people but there is only the one bathroom upstairs.). The Spinners Pub nearby was great!

The accommodation is lovely. As the “Nags Head” is literally just round the corner if you choose not to cook, evening or breakfast they are very accommodating. We used this place for the grand national. Getting an Uber there was easy. Trying to get one back proved more difficult. But the stay there was extremely comfortable 💖

We had a lovely stay seeing family. Was hard to find somewhere big enough for us all to stay local to the village of my family, but this place was perfect. Very spacious, no clutter and extremely private. We are hoping to book again for summer!!!

Jackie’s place was our home away from home for the week of our oldest daughter’s wedding, and it was exactly what we hoped for. Jackie is a lovely hostess, and we would definitely stay again if the opportunity presents itself.
