Melrose: soggiorni in cottage

We had an absolute blast on our girls getaway weekend!! The cottage and community were amazing, exactly what we were hoping for and Doug couldn't have been nicer or more helpful. He was always available by text or phone. The cottage was clean, nicely equipped, and a great location!! We will definitely be renting this cottage again on our next trip!!! Thanks for having us... we loved every minute!! 🧙🧙🧙

It was exactly what my family was looking for. It was relaxing and private. It allowed us to not feel cramped like a hotel stay, but allowed us to cook and enjoy the relaxing day. If you have a small kid, the golf cart is a must!

Awesome house, amazing location, lots to do- we hope to come back again! Plenty of towels, blankets, linens, beach chairs which was great.

Other than you know, the bathroom not being fully cleaned. the house was perfect for our little vacation that we had with our family and we would come again in the owner's are very very nice and very responsive

We enjoyed our stay and would absolutely recommend anyone to stay here. The river really is right down the street. Our dog loved her walks. If you're traveling in the fall, it's so beautiful and the wood burning stove made for cozy days and nights. The neighbours were friendly. The rooms were comfortable and the washer and dryer was a convenient addition. In the back room, there's a spacious desk which made working from home during the trip a breeze. Thank you Peter. It was a wonderful six weeks.

My family loves Halloween. We wanted a historic cottage near the water and this was perfect. Bob was accommodating and kind and thought of everything. The home was cozy and inviting! Highly recommend.

Great place to stay in Scituate right in town and within walking distance to the beach and restaurants/shops. Great communication with management. Would highly recommend !

I came down to visit family in Massachusetts over Thanksgiving and needed a place to stay that was equidistant to everyone, and the Newburyport area was a great fit. Steve's place is a lovely small beach home on a quiet side street. Perfect size for one person plus dogs. The dog friendly part, easy and safe walking, quiet neighborhood, and the kitchen were big selling points for me. Parking was easy. Water was hot, bathroom was spotless. Would stay again.

Marylyn’s place was a perfect accommodation for my family of 4, and was so great communicating with Marylyn! My toddlers had so much fun walking down to the beach area and playing in the sand. The house had a ton of games for the family, house was super clean, and had a lot of little touches that made our stay warm and inviting. There were several times I had to reach out to Marylyn to ask some questions and she always responded within minutes. Great location to restaurants and other activities. She was happy to accommodate an early check-in as we were flying from out of state with two little ones and it was a huge help allowing us to come early in the AM! We also left a few things behind and they were gracious enough to mail it back to us the very next day! I highly recommend staying here - you won’t regret it!

The Little House was very cleaned and had everything needed for a comfortable stay. I was in town for work and the house's cozy atmosphere and view of the pond made it a great place to unwind and relax at the end of a long work day. I felt right at home. I would love to return on future business trips and it would be great to stay sometime for a more leisurely vacation. Highly recommend!

Absolutely beautiful location. Home was very cozy. Love the kitchen! Brian is a great host. Extremely proactive, helpful and gave great recommendations. Neighborhood is quiet and those around are friendly. Definitely recommend staying at this location again. Wish I would have stayed in warmer weather to utilize the property to its full potential.

We had the perfect stay! The house was perfect for our toddler to feel comfortable playing both inside and outside. The location was great and easily accessible to downtown. Gordon was also such a gracious host and offered flexible check in and check out times to better accommodate our travel plans. We would absolutely stay here again!

Extremely nice place, beds were super comfortable, home is beautiful right on the water, everything was easy to find and use. Very easy to communicate with. Would definitely recommend this place!

The Maid’s Quarters was in the perfect location to visit Salem from the train station. We loved the beautiful grounds, tennis courts in great shape, and most of all the short trail to the private beach. The beach was a bit of heaven. The house itself was peaceful with lots of old charm. Well stocked kitchen, clean linens, comfy beds. It was clean and had everything we needed except shampoo and hair dryer. It does have old home quirks like bathroom and bedroom doors that won’t close tight. It smells like a dehumidifier is needed, normal for older home. And definitely don’t forget your tennis gear, there is none in the house. The space heaters were much needed since it was mid October and there is no central heat. The host did not respond to our question, but it wasn’t a big deal. Getting in the house was easy. We would definitely recommend this house, so charming with its fabulous location. Perfect for a family of 4.

My family and I had a wonderful stay over Thanksgiving at this beautiful beachside home. Spacious, lots of light, really clean, great place for walks, close to a nice supermarket. Had a great time and would love to stay again! AAA+

This beautiful cottage is a hidden gem! The views of the pond from three sides of the living room were a calm respite from busy daily life. The owners have put such care into every detail and have spared nothing in terms of thinking of comfort, welcoming, convenience, and pampering. From luxury linens and phone holders to fresh flowers and a welcome basket with a personal note, I immediately felt at home. The kitchen is well stocked and there is plenty of closet storage. Sabrina checked in when I first arrived and was extremely responsive with any question I had. I hope to book again and would highly recommend a stay at this sweet and comfortable place.
