Take a boat, or walk to Torno to find a bar, cafe, shop, and restaurants. Como is a short drive, and public transport is close by. E' raggiungibile con i mezzi di trasporto pubblico : gli autobus C30 C31 C32 con partenza ogni ora circa dalla stazione ferroviaria Como San Giovanni , Como Lago Ferrovie Nord o da Piazza Matteotti in direzione Como- Bellagio, impiegano circa 8 min per raggiungere la fermata Blevio - Decorazioni Savio, distante 100 m circa dall' abitazione. Alternativa piacevole al trasporto pubblico tradizionale può essere l'uso dei battelli della navigazione del Lago di Como, con partenza da Piazza Cavour in direzione Torno, da dove camminando per circa 15 min raggiungerete la destinazione. It can be reached by public transport: buses C30 C31 C32 departing approximately every hour from the Como San Giovanni railway station, Como Lago Ferrovie Nord or from Piazza Matteotti towards Como-Bellagio, take about 8 minutes to reach the Blevio stop - Decorations Savio, about 100 m away from the house. A pleasant alternative to traditional public transport may be the use of Lake Como navigation boats, departing from Piazza Cavour in the direction of Torno, from where walking for about 15 minutes you will reach the destination. I ALLOW ME TO STRONGLY RECOMMEND THE SMALLEST AND CHEAPEST CAR, TO MOVE INDEPENDENTLY, AS IN OUR AREA PUBLIC TRANSPORT AND TAXIS ARE NOT COFORTABLE Villa Pasta The villa was built in the early XIX cen- tury and was bought in 1830 by the famous opera singer Giuditta Pasta hosting space for its several guests. In the park the fol lowing built: the studio painting of Clelia, Giuditta's daughter, who attended the Brera Academy in Milan; the cafe-house, a small cave to cool in the summer; the wooden theater where Giuditta practised singing. Captain Wilhelm Locke, grandson of the famous philosopher, drowned in front of his wife and other guests in the lake area in front of the villa. Later his daughter erected a gravestone in his memory. In the small ceme- tery of Blevio it is possible to visit the grave of Giuditta Pasta who died in 1865.

Being a pedestrian village, Metato is quiet and peaceful. Yet, the beach and many great places to visit are a short drive away- Pisa, Florence, Lucca, the marble quarries of Cararra, Pietrasanta, Viareggio.... Guests have exclusive access to the pool and property. Metato is a friendly litttle village in the hills overlooking the Mediterranean Sea. There is a quaint family-run restaurant in the village that serves local homemade dishes at a very reasonable price. Our pedestrian village tends to attract kind people in search of peace and quiet and a proximity with nature. Time seems to go by more slowly here. It is a perfect base for families who want to explore Tuscany and the beaches of the Versilia coast. The home is in a beautiful, quiet location on a hill surrounded by olive orchards and vineyards just a 10-minute walk from the parking lot. Explore the medieval village of Metato where fireflies and breathtaking views await. Take an invigorating hike or head to the beaches a short drive away. There is a parking lot at the base of the village where you can park the car. The village itself is pedestrian but I am happy to greet guests at the parking lot on their arrival to transport their luggage, groceries and whoever wants to ride to the house with my little Italian tractor! The nearest airport is Pisa (45-minutes by car). All the major car rental places can be found there. The nearest train station is Viareggio.

It has 1 bedroom ( double bed), living room ( couch - made into 1 double bed), kitchen, bathroom, and 2 balconies. Apartment is situated above the historical center of Dubrovnik in the residential area called Ploce, only 300 m walk from the entrance of the Old Town and approximately 5 minutes by foot from the most famous beach in Dubrovnik called "Banje"-pebble beach with a great cocktail bar, restaurant, water sports and a nightclub. Our house offers a splendid panoramic view of the Old Town, Lokrum island and the open Adriatic sea with the most beautiful sunset ever. The apartment is fully equipped, furnished with a balcony with sea and old town view. Air conditioner, TV, wireless internet, garage parking are included in price. We are always happy to assist our guests with their needs. All guests can use the whole apartment for themselves, its two balconies and the private garage. Il complesso architettonico è un antico insediamento documentato sin dal XIV secolo come nucleo monastico di dimora estiva dei Padri Domenicani. Successivamente adibito a masseria e residenza estiva della famiglia Palamara, che lo ha acquisito nel 1868. La Villa è pochi minuti di auto da Cefalù, con la sua magnifica Cattedrale Normanna, patrimonio dell'UNESCO; a mezz'ora di auto da Castelbuono, stupendo piccolo centro medievale con il Castello dei Ventimiglia e con le sue raffinatezze gastronomiche; vicina ai sentieri del Parco delle Madonie.
