Set on a serene and completely private parcel, this unique property offers unobstructed views of the Pacific Ocean and access to the Mad River frontage beach, as well as a private duck-stocked pond and local creek. Take a romantic stroll through the immaculately preserved grounds, and enjoy a sunset bonfire on the string lit terrace overlooking the ocean. Unforgettable!

Approximately, 2 1/2 miles from the historic Arcata Plaza where you will find excellent local restaurants, a variety of grocery stores, movie theater, live entertainment and farmers market every Saturday morning. Arcata community forest and Cal Poly Humboldt is an easy five-minute drive. A short ten-minute drive west through the scenic pasture lands of the Arcata bottoms you will arrive at the Mad River beach.

Kick back and relax in this calm, stylish space. With it's proximity to the redwoods, Cal Poly and the uncrowded, rugged, coastal beaches of Humboldt County you will not find a better location from which to explore all that makes Humboldt so special. Modern, light & airy one bedroom apartment, upstairs with the trees and sun. High ceilings, hardwood floors, quartz counter tops and a bar that seats four. Cal King size bed and a rollaway twin in the closet. You will feel like you're in your own private world. It's a pretty special place. And, for me, B & B stands for bed & breakfast. So I make sure you have something to eat in the morning. I can be flexible with check in and check out, if I don't have guests back to back. :-)

Welcome to The Wind and Tide where forest meets sea. Our newly remodeled home is situated on three acres of forested cliffside overlooking the Pacific, just north of the seaside village of Trinidad. Tranquility awaits as you take a dip in the hot tub and relax by the fire pit, soaking up the sounds of sea lions, the views of migrating whales, and sunsets and stargazing galore. Tide-pooling, agate hunting, and exploring Sue-Meg State Park is just a short drive down the road.

Located in one of the earliest developments of McKinleyville. Our 710 sq. ft. attached guest house has a small fenced in yard and sits close enough to stroll down to view the ocean or take a 5 min. drive to enjoy the local Hammond hiking/bike trails, and nearby shops and restaurants. An easy trip from Arcata airport (ACV) or Hwy 101 and close access to the areas known beaches, redwood forests, lagoons and marshes to explore. Humboldt Cal Poly is located just 6 miles South.
