The Historic Ranch House

We have intentionally tried to preserve as much of the ranch house as possible while still updating the house to today’s standards. The most notable piece of history is the Monarch cook stove in the kitchen, the doorways and doors that are not as tall as today’s standards, the original wood floor in the master bedroom and original moulding around some of the doors. The house is a 3-bedroom, 1-bath house with all the amenities from home. We hope you enjoy our little piece of ranch history!

World-class skiing, rafting, hiking, and mountain biking abound in this beloved vacation destination, as well as dog-sledding, horseback riding, shops, art galleries, and restaurants. This secluded riverside location is just the place for a quiet and comfortable getaway, 3 miles from downtown Salida. Our rural setting is beautiful in every season, offering views of the mountain valley as well as direct access to fishing easements on the Arkansas River. The private suite is an addition to our home with its own exterior entrance, bathroom, kitchenette, and small dining area. This space is most comfortably used by 2 adults with children, or 3 adults sharing the suite.
