Welcome to “The Burnt House" as it was nick named after a fire in 2019. We spent 2 years restoring this multi level home. You will find this house a real treetop treat - no other houses in sight, but still within 5 minutes drive of the CBD. The house is nestled in a Significant Natural Area - meaning its natural bush (and bird) views all round. Settle in the spa and enjoy the bird life. We love sharing this space with you as we believe it's something special.

Orchard Cottage

Orchard Cottage is a lovely relaxing place for a family/ couple or someone in Taranaki for work to stay. It has 2 living areas, 2 bedrooms, a bathroom and fully equipped kitchen. There is a queen bed, double bed and double fold out in the the second living area. Plus a small laundry area. The cottage has a nice covered outdoor eating area and BBQ with a lovely rural outlook. It is located on our property with good parking and fully fenced.

The Black Yurt

MAX OCCUPANCY 2 Adults & 2 Children under 12 The Black Yurt is situated within Oakura. The surf beach, a number of cafes/restaurants, a pharmacy and a convenience store are within walking distance. Several hiking trails can be found nearby. Accessible via a private staircase, this yurt offers you a comfortable king-size bed, lounge area and kitchenette. The bath and shower are outdoors. A separate small building contains the toilet.

Egmont Village Beauty

Enjoy a peaceful and rural setting in Egmont Village with stunning views of Mt Taranaki. We are two minutes from Lake Mangamahoe Walking track and Mountain Bike park, you can be in New Plymouth in ten minutes and be up North Egmont in 15 minutes. Our beautiful cottage is perfect for a couples or small families. Enjoy an amazing view of Mt Taranaki out of the bedroom windows. We provide towels, face cloths and all bed linen.

Devonport Cottage - an historic experience

Devonport Cottage is an early historic, Heritage New Zealand Category 2 listed labourers cottage built circa 1840s. It has been furnished with antiques and complementary furniture. There is a full kitchen including stove, microwave, bar fridge, dishwasher and espresso machine. With views of Mt Taranaki, we are in the countryside but just 6 minutes to New Plymouth's restaurants, shops and cafe’s. We are now welcoming long stays.
