Beachfront escape

Located in a quiet rural setting along side the Kahurangi National Park, with beach access just over the road this is a great spot to base yourself for Golden Bay's adventures or relax with a book for a picnic on the beach. Its a short walk to the café and shops and all sorts of options around for activities including: kayaking, beach biking, a variety of hikes, fishing, swimming, caving and rock climbing. This unit is on the ground floor of our home. We live upstairs with our 2 children.

Bach with private waterfront access + 2 Kayak use

Modern architectural kiwi bach nestled on the edge of a tidal lagoon between Ligar Bay and Tata Beach. The Bach is a compact 55sqm with a large sheltered and covered deck with all day sun. A master bedroom links on to a compact lounge & ensuite bathroom, dining & kitchen area from either side all with full views of the water & lagoon. There is a seperate sleeping pod with a Queen size bed 2 metres from main dwelling for an extra 2 guests. Amazing second Hot outdoor shower under the trees.

Studio by the beach

Everyone tells us they wished they stayed longer! Treat yourself to the peace and tranquillity of our place! The studio has everything you need for a relaxed stay. It's a large colourful room with a comfy Queen size bed. It is nestled in our large garden with just a short walk down to the beach which is great for walking , swimming or fishing! Golden Bay has so much to offer with beaches, bush-walks, cafes and lots of artisans and we are only a few minutes drive from the renowned Mussel Inn!

'Albert' the Bedford Truck spent his early days working on a potatoe farm in Timaru, middle life in Bainham on Earnest Pomeroy's dairy farm as a hay truck and moved to Weka workshop in Kaituna in 2002 and most recently Onekaka.

The host's partner has developed an extensive network of tracks , some easy walks and some more challenging, with great views of the bay.

Adjacent to our families coastal dairy farm, just 200m from a safe and sandy swimming beach on the western side of Golden Bay. A short drive to Collingwood, or Wharariki Beach, or walk to the Old School Cafe and Restaurant. Overlooking a creek. Te Whare o Kea provides simple shelter for trampers, bikers and other nature lovers. The location also makes it perfect for a retreat. A non profit social enterprise and a Gold Kea Sponsor, guest stays have enabled over $20,000 worth of donations to the Kea Conservation Trust. It also supports monitoring of kea nest sites in the Cobb Valley and maintains a 17 trap trapline.
