This little hideaway has a wrought iron balcony where you can sit and read ,or simply gaze at all the comings and going in the Grand Harbour .

The bougainvillea Villa, is a quaint and charming unique 1 bedroom Farmhouse in Qala. The farmhouse has traditional Gozo tiles, arches and walls, and its very own indoor courtyard with a bougainvillea. The farmhouse is 4 stories high. Their is a kitchen dining area, a breakfast area on the indoor courtyard, a bedroom with an ensuite bathroom, and a large roof terrace with country and sea views. Birgu/Vittoriosa is a medieval city surrounded by fortified walls and flanked by a sleek marina. The parish church is dedicated to St. Lawrence. It is one of the oldest cities, playing an important role in the Siege of Malta in 1565. The 0.5 km2 city is located on the south side of the Valletta Grand Harbour, with a long history of military and maritime activities. Phoenicians, Greeks, Romans Byzantines, Arabs, Normans, Aragonese and The Knights of Malta all shaped and developed Birgu.

Evidently, this section of the house was designated as living quarters for the live-in household help of that era.

My refurbished seafront first floor apartment facing the historical town of Senglea is situated in the victorious city of Birgu (Vittoriosa). Right into the spectacular Birgu's harbour creek this apartment enjoys 180 degrees unobstructed breath taking views. Valletta (World Heritage by Unesco) the capital city of Malta which has been also chosen as the City of Culture 2018 is reachable in only 15 minutes by ferry from my apartment. Ferry berths a few metres away from my place.
