Very peaceful and relaxing place to stay. The area is beautiful and quiet. The kayaks are great to paddle around in the calm water, and the fire pit is perfect for cooler evenings. We had numerous cloudy days and no trouble with the solar power. The hosts are very responsive and helpful.

We stayed a week in Nadene’s cottage in Ingonish and it was perfect for us. The location is excellent and the proximity to the beach and views are exceptional. The cottage is equipped with everything you need for cooking or grilling and the satellite TV was a bonus. We’ve stayed at a number of places over the years in Ingonish area and none are better than Nadene’s. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Overall the place was great, it was clean and the views from the living/kitchen area were fantastic. We were lucky enough to catch quite a sunset from the deck overlooking the ocean, it was nice.

Beautiful…. The house was great. We had a fire every night (Niki stocked with very dry wood, truly appreciated). Kitchen had everything needed for cooking (which we did each night and morning). Bed was really comfortable and bathroom was nice and clean. All of that was great, but outside was even better. The views of the coast and landscape were amazing. We caught perfect sunsets and one night had an unbelievable view of the stars and the Milky Way…. Very private and a perfect relaxing getaway. We could not have been happier with our stay.

We found Nicola’s place to be a perfect location from which to start each day whether we wanted to go in a clockwise or counterclockwise direction for our travels on and around the Cabot trail. The house itself was very clean, well-maintained, and on a lovely lakeside parcel. A family of otters enjoyed breakfast at the same time we did one morning. Fishing season was closed for us, but not for them. All three of them dined and heartily!

Fred was very responsive and helpful. The place was exactly as described, with a nice balcony with a view of the water. It was very comfortable and well equipped. We really appreciated that it was stocked with coffee and tea, and that there was laundry detergent available. The whole apartment was in pristine shape, and Ingonish Beach is a great place to base yourself when visiting Cape Breton Highlands National Park.

We stayed for one night at this beautiful knotty pine wood cottage in Chéticamp, and it was absolutely perfect. The ocean views were stunning—such a peaceful and scenic spot to unwind. The home itself was cozy, very comfortable, and had everything we needed for a relaxing stay. You can tell a lot of care went into making it feel like a true home away from home. We wish we could’ve stayed longer and would definitely come back again. Highly recommend for anyone visiting the area!

This place is something special. It’s got a beautiful view of the water…and we visited in Winter - so the winds were so high we got such a thrill watching the waves clash against the rocks and splash the windows. It’s very spacious, clean, modern and easy to find. The WiFi works great! We love the jet tub and we will definitely be back. Shakila was a responsive and pleasant Host. So grateful for the experience!!

This is the place to go! So many things were thought through. You could literally live here. Spare throw blankets for chilly nights, games, lots of towels including beach towels, everything you’d need to cook a meal, amazing ocean view, beautiful sunset out front windows. Cute deck and chairs, our own fire pit and chairs, comfy bed and pillows, comfy couch, lots of selections on TV. I’ll be back again!

Super accueil par un super hôte. Jean-Gabriel est disponible et un très bon ambassadeur de ses Îles. Concernant le logement, tout était parfait et ultra fonctionnel. Propre, incluant tout ce qu’il faut pour cuisiner et lumineux. Merci!

The location was great with easy walk to beach for sunset. The proximity to the park was wonderful and close to town for easy access to restaurants and grocery store. The house was clean, but dated and very camp like, rustic. Had a few flies and bugs come out when we warmed up house but we're manageable. Overall a nice experience and an enjoyable stay.

What a beautiful place! We are in a midst of a long trip through Maine and Nova Scotia, and Lisa‘s place in Ingonish stands out as a highlight of the trip. It is a real wonder to sit in the living room and look at that vista. There is a quiet and simplicity to being there that I really appreciated. Thanks for sharing this space with others!

Wondered how we would fare without tv and ac! Couldn’t be better - the house is a treasure with amazing views and perfect ventilation. Enjoyed a campfire on the beach, a million stars overhead and playful seals in the afternoon. The convenient location to Cape Breton Park is another plus. Would highly recommend!

Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt bei Manon vom ersten bis allerletzten Moment sehr genossen. Die Wohnung ist hervorragend ausgestattet und bietet einen traumhaften Ausblick auf das Meer und die benachbarte Inseln. Absolute Sauberkeit und ein super einfacher Check-In. Von der Fähre braucht man drei Minuten mit dem Auto. Manon war immer gut erreichbar und gab uns gute Tipps für die Insel. Die Magdalenen-Inseln sind immer noch ein echter Geheimtipp, besonders jetzt im Herbst waren fast keine Touristen mehr da und man teilt sich die Inseln nur mit den einheimischen Bewohnern. Wir hatten wunderbare Tage und viel Glück mit dem Wetter. Wenn die Anreise aus Deutschland nicht ganz so lang wäre, wir würden sicher erneut auf dieses Juwel im Sankt-Lorenz-Golf kommen. Auf jeden Fall würden wir wieder bei Manon übernachten, merci beaucoup et à bientôt!

Nous avons adoré notre séjour! Tout était très propre, et respect des commodités annoncés. Le chalet était très bien décoré, et chaleureux, ce qui rendait notre séjour des plus agréable. Nous avons également adoré l’intimité de la deuxième chambre (cabanon). Nous recommandons sans aucun doute! Tout était parfait (et que dire des magnifiques coucher de soleil auxquels nous avons assisté du chalet). Merci Marie-Josée et Gaëtan.
