Stone Cottage in Grounds of a 16th-Century Castle

The cottage sits on the grounds of a castle dating back to 1543 offering an authentic stay. The interior retains a decor that matches the historic charm of the area with modern comforts added and a shared pool in the stunning gardens outside. This is our smallest cottage and cannot take an additional bed or cot. The other cottages are all larger and can do this. All 3 cottages can be rented separately or together. They are in the grounds of a 16th century castle with beautiful gardens and large swimming pool enclosed by stone walls. The lower salon and summer kitchen in the main chateau is available to share. Access is by the side garden gate and all cottages are accessed by stone steps- sadly not suitable for wheelchairs. We will most likely be present living in the main Chateau and available to help and advise about restaurants and things to do in the area. We will share the pool and gardens. The old village is in a beautiful part of France that is has retained its iconic beauty through the centuries and still feels untouched by modern life in many places. Experience true local dining and bakeries with scenic walking trails all around. parking is in the church square below the Chateau. There is a local taxi service in the village and bus service to Avignon, Banyols sur Ceze and Uzes but car hire is recommended. We are 20 minutes from Avignon TGV rail station and about an hour from Marseille, Nimes or Montpellier airports. The cottages are completely private and tranquil.

Enjoy total relaxation at this secluded, rustic farmhouse, in 11 acres of tranquil grounds, including meadow and woodland, with a very large gated seasonal swimming pool (fully refurbished winter 2021). A wealth of pursuits are accessible a short drive away, including swimming, canoeing & fishing on the Ceze river, walking, cycling, horse-riding & wine tasting. Local produce, wine & basic provisions are available in two nearby villages. Numerous markets & restaurants are within easy reach.

Au cœur de la forêt, dans une propriété clôturée de 7000m2, à 10mn des sorties d’autoroute des villes d’Orange et Bollène, vous trouverez le calme et la sérénité. Randonneurs, cyclistes, épicuriens, amoureux de la nature, il vous suffira de passer le portail pour accéder à vos activités favorites. Le logement est totalement équipé : - Draps et serviettes - Machine à café Nespresso - Théière - Grille-pain - Télévision connectée - Barbecue en terrasse La piscine est accessible de 10h à 19h.

Accolé à l’arrière du Mazet principal, le petit Mazet, est un cottage indépendant, lumineux, équipé d'une cuisine est prévu pour 2 voyageurs. Sa décoration atypique, cosy, intimiste est une invitation au voyage à l’image de la famille d'artistes voyageurs, propriétaire du lieu. Salle de bain traversante, petite piscine au milieu des vignes, joli terrain où poussent oliviers et chênes. Calme, luxe et volupté vous attendent aux portes des Cévennes et d'Anduze. A dix minutes à pieds du centre historique d'Uzès, mazet en pierres avec une chambre double et une mezzannine avec deux lits simples. Un troisième banquette/lit simple dans le salon. A savoir que la seule salle de bains/wc s’accède en passant par la chambre double. Lave linge et lave vaisselle, wifi et linge compris. Jardin privatif avec piscine.
