Natural-built, hand sculpted, off-grid cabin

We are a family homestead who built a one room straw bale house finished with clay plaster from our land. We invite you to come enjoy nature in our little oasis. The space is heated with the help of both a rocket stove and abundant natural sunlight. You'll also have access to an outdoor kitchen, a campfire site and a composting toilet. While it is fairly private, the cabin is located amidst other homes in our little ecovillage. It is not tucked away in the woods. We look forward to hosting you!

Farm Stay: Vineyard, Animals & Room to Roam

Welcome to Orchid Hollow, our family farm and vineyard in the Virginia Piedmont. The carriage house awaits at the end of winding country roads and a long gravel drive. Start your day with coffee on the deck overlooking the vineyard as horses graze below. Spend the afternoon by the heated pool, or grab a fishing pole and head to our 5-acre lake for fishing, canoeing, or a pedal boat. End the day with wine by the lakeside bonfire as the sun sets and kids run free or swim in the color-lit pool.

Floor-to-ceiling windows fill the great room and sun room with natural light, a wraparound deck runs the length of the home, and the private dock and boathouse come stocked with complimentary kayaks and paddleboards. Four bedrooms plus a lower-level retreat sleep up to 16, with single-level living and a wheelchair-accessible primary suite.

Inside you will find king bed with a view out of the three large windows, loveseat, tv, microwave, small fridge, coffee station and quaint bathroom with tiled shower.

Lovely home on 5 acres of land plenty parking space 3 miles to the lakes and about 5 miles from the community beach. Beautiful all year long fishing all year. Very quiet and secluded. Nice outdoorArea for cookouts, weddings or camping. Not far from grocery stores, restaurants and Lake Anna state park. Your family will be close to everything when you stay at Perfect Day! We are minutes from all of the wonderful things that make Lake Anna great! While the home is not water front, all guests have access to the private community beach and common areas less than one mile from the house as well as an assigned boat slip. The house offers a year around hot tub, fire pit, gas grill, jacuzzi tub and indoor fireplace.
