Tim's place is beautiful and great for a family or a small group of friends. the views are breathtaking and aside from 1 neighbour(who was not there the whole time) it is a very private location. the place was spotless clean when we arrived!! we had some issues with sleeping arrangements as we got extremely unlucky with the weather while we stayed and were hit with cold fronts and rain. Was way too cold to sleep in the bunkie and unfortunatley there is no heating in there. I would say 6 people max to reach max comfortability in this cottage. We will definitely be back here with a smaller group and no baby!

It’s a great place to escape from the city, my boyfriend and I had a great trip here. They also gave really clear instructions and it was very easy to find.

We had an absolutely incredible stay at Jay’s Airbnb! From the moment we arrived, it was clear that every detail had been thoughtfully considered. The place itself was everything we could have asked for—cozy, beautifully designed, and nestled in a stunningly scenic area with breathtaking views. During our weekend stay, we experienced over a foot of snow, but Jay had already arranged for a plow service in advance, ensuring the driveway was always clear and accessible. Thanks to his careful planning, we had no issues coming and going, which made our stay stress-free and enjoyable. Beyond that, Jay was an exceptional host—communicative, proactive, and incredibly accommodating. He kept us updated throughout our stay and went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable. We kayaked and canoed around the lake several times, enjoying the wildlife—turtles, herons, ducks, loons, and frogs. The fire pit was perfectly placed for sunset views, with plenty of kindling and wood. The BBQ worked great, and Verona offered everything we needed, including good food at Muddy Waters Restaurant and treats at a local bakery and Kawartha ice cream shop. The fall colors were stunning throughout our stay. Highly recommend this cottage for a peaceful, well-equipped getaway!"

Incredible stay with my husband and son at The Ledges. Could not have asked for a more perfect and serene getaway to a beautiful setting enriched with so much history and things to do and see. Truly enjoyed the property and every bit of it was so well decorated and comfortable. LOVED the bathroom, loft, fireplace, and opening the upper window in the morning to the most serene view. We hope to return soon for more true quality family time!

We had a lovely stay. The place is spotless, furniture and beds very comfortable. We loved the welcome gift and treats. The view of the river is outstanding. The place is very modern and decorations are spot on. Not one bad thing to say!

We came to ski for 3 days at Calabogie during March break. The location and view were ideal--a minute to the ski hill (that you can see through the trees out the main window) and parking was free and easy at the hill. This allowed us to come back to have lunch at the chalet and then return to the slopes in the afternoon. The chalet has several high end features--heated floors in kitchen and bathroom, and an induction stove and fancy microwave. it was nicer than we expected. We struggled a bit to figure out how everything worked (probably us, though--we have low tech stuff at home). The designer fridge and countertops and overall aesthetics of the kitchen are beautiful. The chairs were maybe a bit big and awkward to move around for the tight space they were in--was hard to get around them. That was a minor inconvenience, though--overall the space was a delight to be in.

The Happy Place cottages are lovely. Our group of 5 stayed in the Explorer cottage. Excellent use of space and very nicely decorated. The view and the surroundings were so peaceful. We enjoyed sitting on the dock talking then have a beautiful fire. There was another group staying at the Dragonfly who joined us at the fire. It was a nice sense of community. Every one is us said we’d come back again
