The Cottage

Unplug in this peaceful little getaway. Nestled in the backyard of our little hobby farm near the Wood River, you will be able to visit our alpacas, goat, or honey bees. Sit and relax on the porch, or stroll through the pasture or neighborhood. In many ways, the cottage resembles a tiny house with a small bathroom & shower, kitchen sink, microwave, induction hot plate, coffee maker, plates, glasses & utensils. Many of the restaurants & shopping amenities are located on the north end of Kearney.

Welcome to our Family Lake House Retreat, located on Johnson Lake where you can relax, have fun and seek adventure. A newly renovated home, waiting for your family to enjoy the backyard. Sit under the covered seating area and enjoy breakfast, lunch or dinner and then relax by the firepit and enjoy the stars. The walking path and playground are both within walking distance and just a few minutes to the public dock and rental store for bikes, jet skis and boats. A perfectly located get away!

The Nest

The Nest is an upstairs mini apartment in a building on a working bison ranch. The decor is birds, flowers, nature. The windows look out over the pastures. The bathroom features a shower and small clothes washer. The kitchenette area includes hot drink dispenser, microwave, toaster oven, and mini fridge. A cot and portable crib are available on request. Breakfast snacks and coffee are included in the room rate. Covid concerns: you will be the only occupants in the building overnight.

The River House

Come explore the great outdoors when you stay at the river house and enjoy the quiet as you look over the South Loup River Valley. There is river access for all kinds of water fun from tubing, fishing, kayaking, and swimming. You can enjoy evening sunsets out on the covered front porch or setup your telescope for some amazing star gazing with no light pollution. The fiber optic connection makes it easy to use your smart devices for entertainment or setup a mobile office to work remotely.

Cozy 2-bedroom home, located in Gothenburg, Ne

Relax with the family in our conveniently located home. We purchased and remodeled this 1930's bungalow keeping as many original features as possible. What started out as hobby, paired with Gothenburg's need for affordable lodging, has blossomed into a way for us to raise a little extra money for our daughters college fund. We are located just four miles from top ranked Wild Horse Golf Club, two blocks from Highway 30, one mile from Interstate 80, and three blocks from historic downtown.

1 Bedroom Shed in Country Perfect for Crane Season

Crane season hot spot! The apartment is located inside a newly constructed shed. It has one bedroom, one bath (shower only, no tub), and a large living room and kitchen with all appliances (no dishwasher). A private pond is located in the pasture outside of the shed for quiet nights relaxing and fishing. It is the perfect setting for nature and bird watching! We do allow pets for a $25 fee. There is a very friendly farm dog on the property, so take note if this will be an issue for you.

One of a kind "beach vacation" in central Nebraska! A Caribbean ambience has been quasi recreated in this 1,600 sq. foot space NW of Kearney. The property sits amidst the Nebraska prairie with incredible views of the sunrise, sunset, and moonrise. It's only 10 minutes and all paved roads to Kearney's north shopping district, to the University, and both hospitals. Guests rave about the view, amenities, and peacefulness while being so close to town. Many return and book directly.

NO PETS unless service animals, then add $10 cleaning. Prairie Chickens and baby calves in the Spring. NO FEEs only AirBnB fees/taxes.

It’s a Storybook Cottage in a storybook town. This quaint cottage is ready for overnight visitors in Gothenburg, Nebraska, a small town in the heart of the country. This cozy home has an open feel and two spacious bedrooms. Step into the house with an inviting fireplace and a quiet sunroom. You are within walking distance to three parks, Lake Helen, and downtown. A mile north of town is the Wild Horse Golf Course giving golfers links on rolling hills and wild grasses.

Cozy Cabin on the River

This cozy cabin is located 5 minutes from downtown Kearney. It sits on the Platte River with an incredible view of the Nebraska sunrises and sunsets. It has a nice fishing lake stocked with bass, crappie, blue gill and catfish. The fishing lake is directly outside the cabin. This cabin is furnished with leather furniture, cable tv, a queen size bed, a double size bed and A/C.
