The Treehouse: Off-grid Retreat

Shaded in a canopy of macrocarpa trees at the base of Mt Taranaki national park, The Treehouse is a grown-up childhood sanctuary. Built from recycled materials, a repurposed spiral staircase takes you up the multiple levels of The Treehouse to a secluded living space nestled between the trees. Kick back in the canopy, swoop on the swings or shoot down the slide. This self-contained treehouse is powered by renewable energy and is only a short drive to New Plymouth, local beaches and the mountain.

Large paved patio with barbecue and outdoor furniture and views over the acre of permaculture garden. Adults and children over 13 only (garden safety issues). Two mins walk to Locals cafe, 2 mins drive to takeaways/bars, 5 mins drive to centre of town, coastal walkway, galleries, and museum. Ten mins drive to Pukekura park for Womad and Bowl concerts.

This is a lovely 1 Bedroom private apartment with its own ensuite bathroom, kitchen and lounge area. The Village hosts a cafe, petrol station, large mountain bike park, NZ's largest Holden Museum with luge and mini golf.

Self Contained Studio/Sleepout

Detached from the main house, this is a sleepout/studio. Guests love the quiet and secure neighbourhood location. Local shopping centre with supermarket, chemist and library are 10mins walk/5mins drive from the house. We are a 5mins drive from NP airport/10mins drive to New Plymouth CBD and approx 30mins drive to Mt Taranaki. Walking distance to Bell Block Beach and the scenic Coastal Walkway from Bell Block to NP in an hour. Great for a weekend/short visit to the region.

A little bit of country

Guest room separate to the main house. Its a large studio room with en-suite. We're out in the country on a large lifestyle block, only 5mins from Inglewood which is a great little town, and 20mins from New Plymouth. Its a peaceful spot with a great view of Mt Taranaki from our garden. Our place is shared with 2 dogs (outside dogs), 3 cats (probably wouldn't see them), chickens and cattle on the farm From Sept - Oct we have lambs that are being hand fed. :-)

The Little House

Lovely little private cabin in Fitzroy. Newly renovated and consists of a bedroom with King size bed. There is a skylight above the bed equipped with a blockout blind. The Bathroom is en-suite with large rain shower. Cosy lounge area with flat screen TV. Tea and coffee making facilities are provided along with microwave, toaster and a fridge. The French doors lead to a decked area overlooking the garden area where you can relax and unwind.
