Big Drop Surf House is ideally located a short walk to Playa Maderas. Well equipped and comfortable, staying here you will feel part of the Maderas community. Gaby is a very responsive and resourceful host. The local restaurants/beach bars are great, close, and have delicious food.

Directly across the street from the beach, lots of restaurants and things to do.

We had a great stay at Jose's apartment and are happy we came back! The place is comfortable, private, and has a great hot shower. It's close to the main town but still tucked away from the crowds and noise, offering a peaceful stay. The location is very walkable, just a few blocks from the market, restaurants, and cafes. Would definitely recommend!

We had a great stay at this Airbnb in San Juan del Sur. The location could not be better—just one block from the beach and within walking distance to the best restaurants, the malecón, and a small marina area. It is in a mixed neighborhood, but that is something quite typical for Nicaragua and adds to the local charm. If you come with realistic expectations, this place is truly a great option. The apartment had everything we needed for a comfortable stay, including air conditioning, which was a huge plus, and a small kitchenette for simple meals. One of the best parts was the convenience of having a small pulpería (local store) right next door. The lady who runs it also handles the keys and was incredibly helpful at any time, day or night. It felt like staying in a real community. Victoria was super friendly and always available to answer questions. Her presence next door made things even easier, and we could get anything we needed directly from her store. We definitely plan to return!

El apartamento es perfecto, cómodo, limpio y completo, hay piscina en el 1er piso. Para llegar al lugar el acceso es fácil, sin desviarse mucho de la carretera principal y calle completamente adoquinada.

Un verdadero escape del ruido de la ciudad. Este lugar combina lo mejor de dos mundos: la frescura del bosque y la tranquilidad de la playa. Es un espacio sereno, rodeado de naturaleza, con una vista preciosa y el sonido del viento y los pájaros que te envuelve desde que llegás. Sin duda, un lugar al que volvería con los ojos cerrados.

Nous avons adoré l’appartement, particulièrement la terrasse avec la vue et les couchers de soleil. L’appartement est à 10 minutes à pied de la plage. Heureusement le taxi connaissait l’emplacement. Si vous arrivez par vos propres moyens, assurez-vous vous d’arriver de clarté.

I had a great week staying at Dunia’s place. It was incredibly relaxing and right by the beach. I was working the whole week and wifi was great - no issues with video calls. If I’m ever back in Maderas, I’ll be sure to stay at Dunia’s again.

I absolutely loved my time at the cabin called Urraca. Nestled by the sea, it offers breathtaking views and an unparalleled sense of tranquility that makes it easy to forget about work. With spectacular sunsets, I could see nature, feel it, and I truly felt immersed in the environment. One of the most wonderful experiences was witnessing the turtles lay their eggs, and later observing the tiny hatchlings as they made their way to the sea. It was a magical experience, one that deepened my appreciation for nature. Anyone who spends a vacation there will undoubtedly experience the profound relaxation that this place offers.

La casa muy limpia , amplia para grupos grandes, muy cómoda, Kimberly muy atenta a responder con brevedad los mensajes , el guarda y las muchachas de limpieza súper amables !!!

Nous avons passé un merveilleux séjour familial chez Cristina. Nous étions un grand groupe de 16 personnes et nous avons été bien accueillis par l’ensemble du staff. La maison était fidèle aux photos et même mieux! Les cuisinières nous ont préparé des repas incroyables ! Nous avons très bien mangé Je recommande à 10000%

We’ve stayed at many houses in Hacienda Iguana and this house was by far our favorite. It’s got an amazing layout and gorgeous furniture + comfortable beds. But I’ll always remember the spectacular wrap around screened in porches on both levels. We stayed with our 4 month old and it was so beautiful to give him his midnight bottle in an Adirondack rocking chair on the screened in patio off the main bedroom…precious ‘new mom moments’ under the moon, stars, with the sound of the ocean (you can hear the waves at Panga Drops surf break). The property is located directly across the dirt road from the most secluded part of the beach. We had gorgeous evening walks at low tide sunset and came home to cook dinners in the well appointed kitchen. We had coffee by the crystal clear pool in the mornings and really enjoyed being walkable to Rancho Santanas Taqueria + the cute restaurants in Iguana. Bonus: we decided to elope! Casa Tora es una buena opción para un grupo familiar que quiere disfrutar de la belleza natural de playa El Coco. La casa ofrece las amenidades que se necesitan para pasar una buena estancia. Muy recomendable opción.

The place is very pretty and the host very responsive. She provided an accommodation for the heat. The only downfall was that the water pressure in the showers was at a minimum which made it inconvenient for the amount of time we stayed.

Had the most wonderful time at Jean and Coco’s beautiful Airbnb! It’s a luxurious stay that still maintains the vibe of this beautiful country. The property manager on site helped us with everything we needed and answered any questions we had. You’re so close to the beach which felt like a private oasis! If you’re thinking of staying in the area you should definitely book this Airbnb!!

This place was a dream! It’s somehow better than described than photos. It’s incredible. We felt luxurious! Took 8 best friends here for 3 days. Right on the beach, there is three restaurants down the beach and a small grocery story all within a 5-10 minute walk. The family that lives on the property was so kind and helpful and we also hired Alma a in house chef to make us a tradition Nicaraguan meal for 25 $ for all 8 of us! It was delicious! Donna was quick with all her responses! 10/10 would recommended! We even saw a turtle give birth on the beach!!

Great location, the apartment is exactly what I thought it would be, clean, nice, stylish, organized. Benjamin is very responsive and friendly! Can’t complain! I come often to SJDS and definitely will be back at this place! I recommend it 1000%

Maria’s place was amazing, the view of San Juan del Sur bay was absolutely beautiful! She was incredibly communicative and attentive, always making sure we were comfortable and well-informed. We especially appreciated her guidance on electricity use, which helped us stay within the daily budget, very helpful given how energy costs work locally. Her recommendations for places to visit were spot on, and she was always ready to help. Thank you, Maria, for being such a thoughtful and welcoming host!

We were really happy with this apartment. It was very well equiped and Roberta though about even the smallest details like the options to hang the wet clothes and all the equipment in the kitchen . Roberta solved every problem we had along the way ( we had just a few) as fast as possible and we always had a fast answer from her. Marisol, the lady that came to clean was so nice and professional. We really liked her. The swimming pool was always clean and ready to use 😁.

La maison était magnifique, impeccable et tranquille. Un peu à l’écart du centre-ville, nous avions une voiture ce qui a facilité les déplacements, sans cela c’est un peu loin des restos. Cette maison en vaut la peine! Belle vue aussi sur la baie à partir du balcon.

Excelente lugar, muy bonito y organizado todo, lo recomiendo, la playa está muy cerca y el hospedaje 10:10 Billie y su esposa fueron super amables.

Primero me gustaría mencionar que Juan Pablo y Uri fueron geniales de inicio a fin, hubo un pequeño percance al inicio de la estadía pero lo resolvieron sumamente rápido, con excelente actitud y nos retribuyeron con creces el pequeño inconveniente. Estamos especialmente agradecidos con Uri por su rápida y excelente atención. Les deseamos el mejor de los éxitos para el 2025 en el cual seguramente regresaremos! Les recomiendo muchísimo hospedarse acá!

This location is perfect if you want to be close to town and right on the main beach strip of San Juan Del Sur. The decor is fabulous and the suite was well equipped with kitchen utensils as well as a good supply of towels for the bathroom and the beach. Nolan was easy to deal with and kindly accomodated some changes we required.
