At this peaceful and centrally-located suite tucked behind a 1930’s home up a little hill, you will be close to everything important. Walk 1/5 of a mile to Old Town, where you may visit The Port of Siuslaw, many well known restaurants, art galleries and shops. Hwy 101 is a couple blocks away where our famous Pono Hukilau Restaurant is located. Walk a wee bit further to Exploding Whale Park and enjoy sitting on the river’s beach for a picnic or take a short drive to Heceta Beach for the day.

The Red Door Retreat is part of Our Shangra la LLC. We overlook the Circle Bar Golf course. Quiet, water features on four sides. 6 month creek flows into the North Fork of the Willamette. Tree frog pond and waterfall in the Grape arbor. We put up our own grape juice. Heated Exercise Pool with a current also enclosed to keep the pool area pleasant. A HOT SPRINGS hot tub. Multi car parking. Koi and frog pond. A Treehouse with stairs and adult swing set.

Bird House Mercer Lake

This clean and bright vacation lake house offers an amazing view of calm lake waters with a quick walk down to its new dock. All wheel drive or four-wheel-drive is required to drive the 300’ gravel driveway to the house!! Or park at top. Enjoy kayaking, swimming in summer or just sitting inside or outside watching the water and the neighboring birds - osprey, heron, geese, ducks, and sometimes bald eagles. 3 kayaks with a release. Off season it’s very quiet offering a personal retreat.

Come stay in our beautiful, family & dog friendly mid-century home in the forested hills of South Eugene! We live here part time and like to share our quiet sanctuary with others, we love this home and the location and know you will too! There is a fenced backyard for your pup, and great separation of space for family and friends, with a master bedroom and living room upstairs, and two bedrooms and a family room downstairs, each with a fireplace if you're spending a raining evening in.
