We received a very warm welcome from Fiona when we arrived, the ‘check-in’ was smooth, clear and friendly and we immediately felt at home. The house is exceptional quality, located in a beautiful spot, drivable to local villages and also well located for easy motorway access. All rooms in the house are really well appointed with plenty of space for our family, including kids. We appreciated the little touches Fiona added, such as home baked goods, jams, eggs and chocolate. The house was perfect for our long weekend in the area, and we fully recommend this house to others - we would certainly like to return again.

What an amazing stay at Johnathan’s place! The barn conversion is quirky, cosy, and modern all at once. It’s so cleverly designed, with loads of space, comfy beds and sofa, and everything clean. The powerful showers and fresh towels were a dream after long days out exploring. The location is spot on—close to fab restaurants like Rosa and Matteo Italian , shops, and chip shops just around the corner. And the views… absolutely stunning! Perfect for a night of stargazing. Thanks so much, Johnathan—we loved every minute! We will definitely be back.

Gorgeous barn surrounded by fields, but easy access to Preston and Fylde. Very comfortable with everything you would need. Ralph is a friendly and knowledgeable host. The hot tub was bliss. Would love to return.

We had a wonderful stay on Jan’s beautiful farm. The accommodation was beautiful and clean and very well appointed with thoughtful elements throughout. Jan kindly arranged the rooms for our specific needs, and gave us a wonderful tour of the farm, animals and gardens (which included a peregrine falcon show!). The children loved holding the chicks and feeding the pigs in the mornings. Jan also provided great local recommendations for swimming, cycling and running. A great stay and we would love to return.

Wow! Just, wow! We had a beautiful stay at Tracey’s beautiful property - we didn’t want to leave! The house is absolutely spotless, comfortable, well equipped and is a brilliant size. The amenities are fantastic. We had everything we could have needed. We had a 6 month old with us and it was lovely to have a travel cot and high chair available. The location is perfect! 4 minute drive into Kirkby Lonsdale, close to Ingleton Falls, on a lovely, peaceful caravan park and the views are outstanding. Thank you so much for an amazing stay, Tracey! We will definitely be re-booking 😄

In a beautiful spot overlooking the tarn. Ideal for lots of walks. The space was great for our family get together - quiet, clean and well-provisioned. The gardens were also lovely - our children had a fantastic time playing in the woods, cooking marshmallows over the fire pit and pestering Stuart’s very tolerant dog. Communication was excellent throughout, plus all the info on the local area and things to see and do is helpfully provided. We certainly intend to stay here again. Highly recommend.

Really enjoyed our stay! Large accommodations! Fabulous location… beautiful town. Drove to numerous sights, towns, hikes! Richard always responded.

What a place. As soon as we arrived we felt right at home. Immacaulte and beautiful inside and out. The outside space is perfect. It has places to relax as well as a large lawn for games and the dogs to play. Inside was immaculate and had the perfect mix of modern and cosy. The pool table is a very nice additon. A stones through from Skipton makes the location ideal. We will definitely be returning, but for longer next time.

Definitely recommend staying here, not far from the city centre and other places. The house is lovely and full of lots of little touches which make it special. Anything you may need help with is provided from the host and makes everything easy to use. Our family had a lovely weekend in a lovely home. Thank you

Comfortable home from home in a great location for exploring the area. Olivia was on hand and really responsive to any questions we had. Would recommend and would certainly go back.

Large house in a quiet location , ideal for family gathering . Kitchen was well equipped which made catering easy . No camp cot or high chair but we bought our own . Thankyou

The most perfect place for a relaxing weekend. Fox Up Barn is beautifully presented and has absolutely everything you need (and more). Cathy was a fantastic host who was very responsive when needed. Highly recommend for a peaceful weekend away!

Wow. The photos don’t do this property justice. The house is beautiful, impeccably clean, cosy and full of character. The area is stunning, 30 minutes from Windermere and 20 minutes from the beach with plenty to do and see in between. Jane was a fabulous host, very friendly and welcoming. I would recommend this house to anyone and wish we’d stayed longer. We’ll be back!

Had a fab stay here! Everything you need. Its very spacious and the hottub is lovely we saw a deer whilst in the hottub one afternoon. Hosts were extremely helpful lovely people would definitly stop again :)

This is a perfect spot for anyone looking to take a mid-long range break in the Dales. You're right in the middle of the national park with plenty to do and see (as long as you don't mind a drive through the picturesque winding roads to get there!). Alternatively, it's a peaceful oasis to just enjoy with friends and loved ones as a short break. The house itself was immaculate & modern; definitely a surprise walking from the outside in! Nigel & Sharon kindly provided some essentials and a lovely 'welcome hamper' to greet us. They also provide very detailed instructions for everything regarding the property, as well as relevant information on all the local sites. We would definitely stay again; a truly lovely find.

Fabulous location and village, very small obviously being a hamlet, but everyone we came across was very friendly. Excellent pub literally at the end of lane where the barn is located. Food is very good and a lovely village atmosphere. South facing garden looking across the Dales, is just awesome. Very spacious property and plenty of parking. There was seven of us with a dog, and it accommodated us with plenty of space. Lovely walks for all abilities setting of from the barn. Close to kettlewell, which is worth the visit. There are no shops near by but we came prepared thanks to the excellent communication from Jamie. Hot tub was winner too, and heats up very quickly. Can’t fault the property or location, and its owner is very accommodating and responsive. Highly recommended!

We’re just back from a really lovely stay at Carrholme Cottage. The cottage itself was everything we wanted for a family of 5 and for a couple of days, our in laws, a family of 4 too. The rooms are much bigger than the pictures and the lay out is very homely and cosy but spacious enough to give everyone their own space too. The area is very quiet with a short drive away from Settle, a lovely historic town with everything you need. We welcomed Liannes recommendations for food and were very pleased with the pub/restaurant The Black Horse, the food was lovely and the staff were very accommodating. We had many walks out locally but our favourite was the Ingleton Falls walk (even with our 5 year old) which was a lovely day out. The highlight was enjoying the spa/hot tub after a long walk, which we all enjoyed. Lianne was a great host and I honestly couldn’t fault a thing. She has given us as much help/information as we needed and we’ll definitely be back again. The Ferrys

We had a wonderful long weekend in Malham with our pet dog. ‘The Old Barn Cottage’ is a perfect location for walks to local beauty spots, as well as being close to local bars and restaurants. On arrival, a very helpful assistant in the adjoining cafe checked us in and ensured we had everything we needed. Lawrence was very responsive and helpful on a couple of points we had being in a different house (where to park and help with how to unlock the induction hob). They were quickly resolved so we could enjoy our break as we had planned. Overall, this pretty old cottage is very spacious, comfortable, well equipped and in a fabulous location. Great value for money.
