The Cottage on the Green

The Cottage is situated on the backside of an acre parcel behind the main house. A swimming pool separates the main house from the cottage. The property is very quiet, peaceful and private. Guest have a Separate entrance. We are a retired lieutenant from a California LE agency and his wife a retired teacher who give guests as much privacy as requested. We are a short distance from the Longleaf Trace and 1.5 miles from the Barn at Bridlewood wedding venue for those attending a wedding there.

Relax in quiet peacefulness surrounded by forest. You really notice the beauty and sounds of nature here. Walk down the trail to the one acre pond to feed the fish from the pier. Or walk out the back door to another trail to experience complete solitude. This was my grandparent's home where they once farmed 80 acres. It's cozy, quaint and very private. However, it's less than four miles from downtown Sumrall and 16 miles to Hattiesburg. Your pets will enjoy the large fenced in back yard.

“The Roost” Farm & Glass studio 1mile from town

Welcome to “The Roost” Guesthouse at Thomley’s Farm. If you are a Christmas Tree customer you might know this building as our Gift Shop. In 2023 we renovated the space and could not be more happy with the outcome. Nice big shower, King sized bed, Twin & Trundle. Electric fireplace & the cutest custom kitchenette. Lots of natural light & privacy when you want it. This front porch is central to the happenings on the farm. You are next door to the Glassblowing studio and goats down the hill.

The Goat Shed

Unique get away. If you are looking for a small place that won’t break the bank this is it. Metal bldg studio apartment. We have goats ,chickens, mini donkey and horse in a fenced in area close to apartment that you can pet and feed. Cows across the road. Basketball court and ping pong table …located outside the gates of Big Bay lake…Located centrally between Columbia and Hattiesburg. Wine and cheese trays available on request for fee. Boat rides on the lake for small fee.

This is the perfect getaway nestled just steps away from the river banks , you can spend your evenings grilling by the water or just listening to the water pass on your private balcony.
