Gollywobbler's galley comes complete with a hot plate, microwave and refrigerator. The bedroom features a sitting area, lots of storage space and a full-size plus bed. An additional sleeping berth is an extra long roomier-than-normal twin. Lastly, the dining table lowers into a full bed. Five kayaks are shared with other boats. Great 180 degree Views from south end of Vashon Island. Spectacular views of Mt. Rainier and Pt. Defiance. Tacoma city and Commencement Bay lights up views at night while Pt. Defiance is dark. This cozy 1 bedroom has a king size bed, 1 bath with a shower and unique 1/2 size tub. The views are amazing from the bedroom, kitchen and living area. At high tide you feel like you are on a boat. Access to our private boat ramp for kayak, SUP, or other small watercraft. Come enjoy being on the water!

Ranger's Hideout at Whitman Lake, Mount Rainier

Perched over Whitman Lake, escape with a cold beverage on your large deck that makes you feel "within the trees." Surrounded by old growth cedars, watch as the resident bald eagles take turns diving into the lake for their lunchtime snack. Walk down the railroad tie stairs and through our "naturally" landscaped yard to find your private dock with a kayak that is free for guests. Whitman Lake is just ~45 min south of Tacoma and ~45 min north of MRNP... a perfect home base for your adventures.

Westside Cabin

Our place is just a few miles from the Fauntleroy/Vashon ferry terminal, and minutes from the town of Vashon. Tucked snuggly on the West side of the island, the cabin looks west over Colvos Passage. The cabin itself is essentially a spacious studio-- one large room with a loft, a small kitchen, and bathroom. A queen size bed is in the loft, and the couch comfortably sleeps one person. The bathroom has a large clawfoot soaking tub, and there is an outdoor shower. It is extremely cozy!

Africa in Auburn - Treehouse

Our tree-house, built by Pete Nelson of Treehouse Masters, aired as the African Safari Hut. The professionally designed interior is filled with African artifacts. It was designed to be a writer's cottage for Skeeter who is an author and an African historian. Skeeter and Jacque love having guests stay at the treehouse, especially writers and artists looking for a retreat to work on their craft. With few exceptions, the treehouse is available for stays of 2 to 5 days.
