Lake Marion: soggiorni in alloggi al lago

I travel a lot for fishing tournaments and typically stay at AirBNB or VRBO places instead of hotels. This place was as pictured. This is the first one that I’ve stayed at that was actually someone’s “home”. It appears as if the owners just move into a small outbuilding in the back yard while their home is rented out. This didn’t bother me, but it may bother some. It seemed to be a safe place to plug the boat up and is close to boat ramps.

We had an amazing time at Ashley’s beautiful home and will visit again. The views of the lake were absolutely stunning. The Lake House has a pier to fish off and guys had a great time. We had a very relaxing stay in a quiet neighborhood in Cross, SC. We stayed for 3 nights and really wished we had stayed for the week.

Very clean and spacious house with more than reasonable stocked items made us feel at home the minute we stepped in. Inside, tasteful furnitures and decoration gave us a cozy feel as if we are staying at my grandmother’s house. Outside, you can spend all day relaxed with the sounds of nature - water, wind, and birds. I tried kayaking for the first time. Water is calm, nothing else is around me except water. What a soothing experience! And the sunset is breathtaking.

Responsive host by text and phone. Super helpful with the questions I had about parking. The house was clean and everything we used worked as it should. We will be back next year for sure.

I had Stuart's place saved to my wishlist, and finally had the opportunity to stay for 3 nights in April 2025 for a local staycation Spring Break. My extended family (spouse, 4 kids, in-laws) spent 3 nights at the property. Everyone agreed it is a 5 star property. Both the heated pool and also the swim spa were big hits with my younger kids. Grandparents and my sons enjoyed fishing from the pier. Grilling and dinner on the patio at sunset is highly recommended. Stuart is very responsive. This was my first visit to Lake Marion. It's a rural area, and all about peaceful relaxation. We cooked most meals (kitchen is great). Next time I would bring full groceries with us - local restaurants and grocery stores are very limited. If you go out on the lake, highly recommend hiring a fishing guide, and skip any watersports. The lake has a number of hazards (e.g., submerged tree stumps, alligators) best left to people with local knowledge - Jim of Let's Go charters was great for us.

It was a great place for our whole family. It checked all the boxes for everyone. Fishing was our #1 box, having the boat dock was wonderful. They didn't have to take the boat in and out of the water everytime they fished. The indoor swimming pool was great for the kids and adults because you didn't have to wait for warm weather. The pool table was fun for all and we could all hang together in the spacious area. The kitchen was large and clean with everything you would need. We all had a great relaxing vacation. Would highly recommend this place! Working with Ingrid was wonderful! She was extremely helpful and was available when we needed her. Would love to check out her other properties. Thank you for everything Ingrid!

This home was fantastic! Located on a peaceful canal with close access to the lake. We came for a nearby staycation and loved being able to wake up before sunrise and be on the water fishing. The two kayaks were a happy surprise to see! They were fun to tour the canal on. I truly considered never leaving!! We really enjoyed our time out back. From the dock, to the fire pit, to games and a lot of food on the porch. And we appreciated having the fenced in yard and gate on the porch for the dogs to play!

The view was incredible and completely worth the trip. This condo was comfortable and inviting. The pool was great for the kids and having fishing right there was very convenient. There was a light bulb out over the kitchen table but we made due. The kitchen is small but appliances all seemed new. Having a washer and dryer was great for drying all our beach towels. The outside sitting area needs a little extra attention. We were in the area for a high school graduation so can’t speak to things to do in the area. But the view was awesome and we would definitely consider coming back when we visit family.

Perfect place to unplug and relax for the weekend. Fire pit was fantastic and the outside table was a great place to sit enjoy the perfect weather.

Our whole family loved the stay at Kim and Lee’s home. Such a beautiful location and a lovely house! The house is clean and stocked with everything you could ask for, the beds and furniture are very comfortable, and the view from the backyard is beautiful. Even our pets loved sitting in the sun and watching the animals outside! Very much a perfect stay and great hosts.

Great place to stay with dock access. We enjoyed ourselves and had a wonderful weekend. Everyone in the neighborhood was very polite and kind. My family would love to spend time here again. Kayaking from the boat ramp was a bonus.

If you’re looking for a place for peace and relaxation , this is the perfect spot very quiet. House was very clean with all amenities that you need. Will visit again

We had the time of our lives. The place is great. Great location. Jamie Sue and husband could not be nicer. This place could be the best kept secret in South Carolina. PS some of the best fishing in South Carolina. Can't wait to come back.

Although we arrived late and left early we felt right at home for the few hours we were there. Very clean, safe neighborhood, and Giny was very accommodating. Will definitely be back on our trips down to FL.

Stayed at Ben's place for a fishing tourney. Everything was great and it was just what we needed. Price was great.
