Lake Junaluska: soggiorni in cottage

Lovely accommodations and gorgeous location with ample privacy. Looking out to the mountains across from the home reminded me of the Amalfi Coast with all the houses lit up at night. Magical!

Caleb's place is absolutely stunning! The amenities are draw you in but the interior of the home is just as welcoming. Every room is cozy and the home is well-appointed. Communication was easy and timely. There were no shortage of recommendations and the location was perfect.

My boyfriend and I loved staying at this cottage! We took a couples trip to visit Asheville and support the community after the hurricane, and we loved every minute of it! The place was beautiful and private and we felt right at home! The hot tub was definitely a favorite for us!!!! We would absolutely stay again!

We absolutely loved our stay here! It was beautiful, quiet, peaceful, and just in the perfect spot to be if you’re wanting to travel to Sylva or Cherokee. Within comfortable distances between towns, yet a quaint and quiet space. Katherine was very helpful with keeping me in check on the weather, places to go, and things to do.

James had a nice and cozy cabin for me and my family to say the kitchen was well stocked of everything you needed to cook basic meals and the view was nice and quiet. Next time I’m in town I’ll be back! Thank you James for being a great host!

Such a beautiful AirBnB! We had a wonderful stay and enjoyed the peaceful surroundings and views. The AirBnB was clean and exactly as described/pictured in the listing. Christin is a fantastic host who is very responsive and incredibly kind. I would (and have!) recommend this AirBnB to anyone looking for a place to stay in the Asheville/Western NC area!

They were wonderful hosts. The place was very clean. They had anything you could need from seasonings, detergent, soap, so if you forgot something they had you covered. They even were good hosts to our furry friends. The covered porch that’s fenced in had good view and gave us peace of mind that our dogs couldn’t sneak away while we hung out in the hot tub.

Our stay at Julia's was just what we needed. Great host, very caring and responsive about some unexpected needs while we were there. Close to outlets, blue ridge mt entrance and arbotertum. Loved the ingles grocery nearby. Would absolutely stay again, thanks Julia!

We love Woodfin- this house is located right next to a coffee spot and some great BBQ. Our favorite spot was the huge screened in porch

This cozy place is truly a gem. You cannot beat the location — we walked around Lake Junaluska every day. The house was well-decorated, comfy and had lots of amenities. The host even included a bottle of wine and snacks! The back deck is a great place to start the morning with a cup of tea of coffee. I highly recommend this Airbnb!

This place is beyond amazing. The attention to detail, the cleanliness, the peace, is indescribable. The bed was one of the nicest beds I've stayed in. They have gone above and beyond to make sure that everything is part of the beautiful experience. Highly recommended! Make sure your vehicle has all-wheel drive or 4x4 to go up the dirt road, it's actually fun to get up there. You will not be disappointed staying at this place!

Wonderful stay! This was my second time at Sam’s place & it was just as great as I remembered from our first stay a few years ago. Clean & comfortable, it was a wonderful home base for traveling around the Asheville area for work. Such a peaceful spot to come back to after long days on the road, bouncing from one client visit to the next. Seriously couldn’t ask for a more friendly & responsive host or anything more from our stay. Highly recommend to anyone staying in the area!

A very nice stay. We had a group of seven and needed five bedrooms. This house was perfect for us. It was very much like a home with puzzles and books and TV and anything else we might want. Once we found it the first time it was easy. We kept forgetting to turn on a light before we left for the day so we came back to a lot of darkness. That was completely our fault. I would recommend this property to anyone who needed six bedrooms and three baths. They were very responsive when we had a question too.

we came to this gorgeous airbnb to escape some plumbing work being done on our house. we could not have been happier. Francia was flexible when we had to extend, very communicative. the house was an adorable, mountain cabin with a GREAT backyard! perfect for our pup Finnegan! 10/10 would stay again :)

We enjoyed staying at Tim’s place. It was the perfect size for our family of 4. And the trail behind the house was an extra bonus. Each morning you could have coffee on the back deck and listen to rushing water.

We spent Christmas here and it was romantic and great for the family.

Angie was very helpful and responsive from the very beginning. We were arriving in town for a work conference and I was trying to find a last minute place for our crew and us to stay. She was available to answer my questions before booking and we were able to check into the cabin late. The cabin was perfect! Every detail was thought of. We had all the amenities we needed (W/D, full kitchen, outdoor grill etc…). The beds were comfortable and clean. We were able to cook dinner in the kitchen one night and grill dinner another. It was relaxing and money saving. Angie remained available for any questions that popped up during our stay. Checkout was also super easy. There were no crazy to do list. She had common sense request on how to leave her property. And again, she was highly responsive during this time. If we come to the Asheville area again, we will definitely try to stay here!

The Mayor's Cottage is incredibly cozy and charming, both inside and out. The gardens and tasteful time period decor are even more beautiful in person. The house was clean & comfortable and the thoughtful extras provided by the hosts made us feel right at home. We very much enjoyed the history of the cottage and surrounding houses, and appreciated all of the recommendations for local dining and activities. The location is perfect being both private and quiet but walkable to dining and shopping. Our hosts were very warm, welcoming and thoughtful - Hospitality at its finest.

This was a perfect location for a wedding we were attending nearby. The 2 bedroom/2 bath cottage fit our needs wonderfully! It is actually why I chose it from the many options. The setting is beautiful. It reminded me of Chautauqua Lake, a similar religious retreat near my home, so I decided to research Lake Junaluska. Amazingly they were created by the same minister! Thank you, Heather for sharing this wonderful spot.

I must say this was one of the nicest places we have stayed. Everything was very well stocked from kitchens, bathrooms, to bedrooms. She even thought of the little things like complimentary water and beer. The beds were very comfortable. The furnishings were antique pieces that added to overall charm of the place. In light of the recent hurricane and flooding damage, Ashton was very proactive and accommodating to make sure we had everything since the city was still under a boil advisory. She went above and beyond what was expected of a host. The best AirBNB host we have had. We will definitely re book with Ashton when we return.

Wonderful place and location. We had walked by the house several times during our previous trips and had always wanted to stay there. It met all our expectations, which were high since my wife has loved the place since for years. It perfectly mixes updated services without sacrificing the mountain style in which the cottage was built. Easily walkable to downtown shopping and restaurants but also having a peaceful backyard that is perfect for some quiet time and contemplation. We would love to stay there again.
