This eclectic three-story log home is on the edge of Lake City. It offers stunning mountain views. This colorful house can sleep up to 8 people. The house has stairs including a tight, narrow spiral staircase to the basement. It has an open-floor plan upstairs with a king bed & a full bathroom. There are bunks beds in the basement along with only one TV. This home is ideal for people looking to unplug & unwind. It also has a wrap around deck with a BBQ & parking for a truck & trailer onsite.

Backcountry Basecamp Lodge

The main lodge is approximately 1900 square feet with 4 bedrooms and 4 baths which are private to each room. There is a main kitchen and living area with wood burning fireplace and woodstove. There is also another room with a small full kitchen. The addition on the back of the lodge is a separate Airbnb listing but may also be available. This addition is 420 sq ft. With a kitchen, bath, king and a twin bed. Cabin is across from visitor center and post office at north end of Town.

Enjoy our heated, inviting, pet-friendly cabins, which offer access to the salt-water spa, firepit, and grill, all within walking distance to downtown Ouray. Please note: Cabins do not have running water or private bathrooms. Drinking water is available in our heated restroom and shower facilities, located just a short walk from the cabins and maintained regularly throughout the day. Pets are permitted with prior approval, as well as an additional deposit and nightly fees.

The Alpine Village has 12 authentic log cabins on site. The property is listed on the Historic Register of Lake City, CO and has been hosting guests for almost 80 years. In 2023, the property was renovated with all new interior comforts, and updated exteriors. This is an authentic log cabin and historic preservation is required so if we are missing some comforts of modern stays, please appreciate the history. :) Note: We do not have a/c., our bathrooms are small.
