A century old Architect's house with PINE TREE

Thank you for opening my page. This house had been a residence of an architect. He has moved after his retirement as he’s become old and I took over the house. I renovated the house and opened as licensed guest house in March 2018. The house is 100 year old but you must be surprised to find it’s well maintained and under good condition. It is because the house has been taken care of with love by the architect.

Year by year, these kinds of traditional houses are decreasing even in Kyoto.That is why I decided to renovate this Japanese traditional house as guest house as I hope to preserve. Machiya( town house) has several types according to its use. My Machiya was built for weavers, both as residence and as atelier.
